As we came to Gozo the first day we were hungry and wanted to have a quick lunch somewhere near to our hotel and we discovered this little spot and decided to eat there. They are not a fancy restaurant or a restaurant with many dishes. This place serves only one type of freshly home made pasta with different kinds of classic Italian sauces such as Napoli, carbonara, sea food sauce and etc. There are limited seating but you can have your lunch quick on the terrace where they have tables with umbrella. The pasta was cooked to perfection al dente and the sauces also were good. We had the chance to chat with the owner, a Sicilian signora who was very friendly and shared her story with us which was very inspiring. They also sell the handmade Italian almond biscuits. This place is very recommendable and we will come back again for sure. They also have another restaurant at Sliema with the same name and concept. These kinds of small restaurants will give you unforgettable memories for sure. We visited in May and forgot to write a review and now...
Read moreWe came here for lunch on our day trip to Gozo last Sunday and while the food was lovely in thr end, I’m giving low stars for the staff. I ordered the vegan Bolognese with the vegan pasta and the waitress asked me if I wanted extra cheese. I then asked her if the cheese was vegan, the waitress then just listed out the cheese they had. Again, I asked if the cheese was vegan and she said she didn’t know. So I said no to the cheese if she didn’t know if it was vegan or not. She didn’t said she would find out from the kitchen. The staff need to be knowledgeable on what they’re serving. There is only a couple of tables outside on the footpath my the road. The waitress then came out and asked if I wanted the egg free pasta even though I had already ordered it at the counter. Service...
Read moreAbsolutely Fabulous!! Visiting Gozo for a few hours before a snorkelling trip and we popped in to Victoria for some lunch.
We fancied some Italian so I jumped on Maps and found a solid 4.9 for Pasta Republic so we stopped by.
They had just opened when we arrived (11:30am) and were more than happy to accommodate our group of 6 with tables and chairs on the pavement with provided shade too.
The menu had some new additions so between us, we had a few Bolognese, Pesto and Vongole which were sublime. There are three size options, the medium (150g) is more than enough for a filling lunch.
The fresh pasta was Al dente and the sauces were absolutely delicious. The staff were super friendly so this place is worth more than 5 stars!! Thank...
