Smash Box Burger — Restaurant in San Miguel de Cozumel

In town for the week and needed a break from tacos. Saw this place and figured why not, because the view from the pic nic tables was fantastic. This beats any fast food burger in the states (we’re from Texas, so that includes whataburger). I was mesmerized. Seriously. For $16 USD we got two burgers and a side of fries. The four of us agreed it was close to or possibly the best burger we’ve ever had. Very slight communication barrier, but I don’t speak good Spanish so that is no fault of the business. Update: yesterday I went to eat the burger anyway and I sat in the sun and told them they need shade. Today I walked by and they put up a canopy for shade! Within 24 hours they fulfilled my request! Not only is the burger the best on the island, but they actually listen to their customers! I can’t wait to eat here again.

Hands down my family's FAVORITE burger place. Seriously tasty burgers, coupled with the ever so rare, crispy French fries! I also want to mention they use fresh Angus beef, and not those frozen pre-formed patties. To top it off, you eat your meal on picnic tables right on the ocean. Sneaky tip: No parking?
