Sebi Boat Tours — Attraction in Amsterdam

Let me start off by saying this was one of the best experiences we had in our stay in Amsterdam. I opted to get a private boat tour with Sebi on the Giuliana to set up a romantic engagement for my partner, and Sebi and Oliver delivered!

Sebi was very kind and welcomed us on board with some of the treats we selected, along with other wonderful snacks and in a gorgeous presentation. The table had a lovely flower bouquet in the center, drinks on ice, cheese, grapes and mustard on a platter.

As we started the tour Sebi explained where we were headed and had some wonderful stories to tell. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and a great person to have a conversation with as we made our way through the canals.

The views were phenomenal! We then stopped at Sebi's cousins boat catering and got some warm Bitterballs and Cheese Souffles that were AMAZING! We even tried finding these at other locations, but none measured up! We also had gorgeous charcuterie.

Finally, we made our way to the Amstel River and Sebi helped film and photograph my proposal under the Magere Brug. It made for an ideal romantic setting! Sebi then even dropped us off right in front of our apartment rental where we were staying.

Sebi's boat tour really is a great way to experience everything Amsterdam has to offer and is led by an incredible captain. Would recommend this...

I recently booked a private tour with Sebi Boat Tours for my family who were visiting Amsterdam. This was the absolute highlight of our week in Amsterdam and I cannot recommend this tour company enough. It is really important to support independent small businesses like this one who put their heart and soul into their work. Both Olivier (who helped us arrange the tour and details including the delicious food we had) as well as Sebi (our captain for the tour) were amazing.

What really meant a lot was the personal touch. Sebi was fantastic with helping a family member with mobility challenges which meant a lot to us and being an overall great host, boat captain and tour guide. The boat itself is great, comfortable, unique and well cared for. But it was the experience itself and the wealth of stories and knowledge that Sebi shared with us which made it what it was.

My family cannot recommend this tour and this company enough. Support an amazing small business and assure yourself of an unforgettable and personal experience on the canals of Amsterdam with Sebi Boat Tours.

One of the loveliest experiences we had in Amsterdam. Sebi’s canal cruise felt more like hanging out at a friend’s place than a touristy tour. Sebi — the captain, host, storyteller, and bartender all in one — himself runs every cruise, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. He’s warm, funny, and full of interesting stories about the city.

His beautifully restored 100-year-old boat takes only up to 10 guests, so the vibe is cozy and relaxed. When I looked at other cruise boats sailing pass, I felt sure they were green with envy ;)

The setup is clever and thoughtful — open sides for great views, a shaded roof in case of intense sun, rain covers just in case, and soft blankets for when it gets breezy.

The food and drinks were excellent: Gouda, spring rolls, cheeseballs, and a free flow of wine and G&Ts that made the whole ride feel indulgent in the best way.

Also worth mentioning… there’s even a super cute and spotless little toilet onboard, with a view of the canal! Honestly, every detail is well thought out.
