On my last day in Amsterdam i decided to shop mtg singles from this store, comments here praising it for being friendly so i want to do business with them. But they are the exact opposite of friendly. The moment i asked for mtg singles the store staff told me that he doesnt want to sell to me. When i asked the reason he said its sinterklaas (its just Dec 2!) and he doesnt have time. I told him i dont understand why you are selling to a group of college students a few minutes ago and not to me, whom he was entertaining before they wrapped up their sale. With a rude attitude he gave me 1 binder of bulk rares and mythics and said 5 minutes. Wow! Beyond rude i tell you or maybe racist (i’m asian and the college group are locals). After minutes of walking just to get to their store in the cold morning i dont have the energy to shop around so just settled for the items below, which is not even on my shopping list.
Virtue of Persistence- eu10 Godsend- eu10 Ref magnets - 4pcs for eu10
I felt like all these comments here are just plain lies. Never go to this store. Staff are...
Read moreMy Partner and I went to this lovely store because I heard it sold singles….
I was very delighted to see a seller offering to go through his folder like in the good old trading days in the 90’s
Sure the cards were slightly pricier, but the nostalgia was worth it. It’s the experience we pay for.
I got an alpha Unholy strength and a reprint polluted delta… if I had a bigger budget I’d buy his underground sea And a fluffy Dachshund toy
I found the experience respectful and professional… and for all the haters of the MTG experience in Amsterdam I should remind you that this is a specific Niche and these cards the the guy has to allow you to see live is a privilege….
If only we could have this style of MTG trade in London…
Thanks for the experience Gamekeeper! Will...
Read moreThe shop is nicely located and has all the board games. BUT if you're looking for Pokemon cards this is NOT the place to go to.
First: Their prices are excessive - way more than market price (e.g. a booster box that can be bought for 124.99 online with no discounts is sold at a staggering 189.99) , it makes even scalper products seem cheap. That's a markup of 52%.
Second: They offer buying customer single cards (not bulk which is completely understandeable), at a 50% rate. Any other shop around amsterdam is 70% at least and some 80% as trade.
They should simply not sell Pokemon or other TCG cards if that's how they do business, and should stick to stuff they are more specialized in (board games,...
