Renaissance Marketplace — Attraction in Oranjestad (city)

My mom and I have been visiting Aruba for over 30 years, and for one morning every trip, we take a stroll through the Renaissance Marketplace as we tour downtown Oranjestad.

Earlier this week (November 15th, 2021), we did our annual walk-through of this shopping center adjacent to the two Renaissance Hotel properties, the marina and the casino.

The property is right on the water and includes a Starbucks, a Subway, shopping outlets, a movie theater, an outdoor bar and a few sit-down restaurants, including The Dutch Pancakehouse, whose famous Dutch pancakes keep lines queued out the door at all times.

Renaissance Marketplace's Christmas decorations are already up in Aruba this year, so if you are looking to get into the holiday spirit and happen to be in downtown Oranjestad, Aruba (as a fly-in our cruise visitor), definitely...

This is a nice shopping area. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This mall has a Starbucks, some restaurants, some stores selling souvenirs and clothing, a 5oclock Somewhere Bar, and a movie theater. I walked through the mall and was impressed by how clean and well maintained this was. The bathrooms here are large, spacious, and clean. There’s a nice view of the ocean, marina, and cruise port from here. I stayed in Aruba for 12 days & stayed at the Renaissance Oceanfront Hotel. I walked to the Renaissance Marina Hotel multiple times & went through the Marketplace & got to know it very well during that time. I had dinner at several places there, had iced-coffee breaks as I walked through, had drinks at night at 5 O'clock Somewhere, shopped at the little stores, & the place I found the most convenient was the small mini mart right across from our hotel...the owner & I were just about on a 1st...
