Pok-Ke Ono at the marketplace is a delightful and fresh dining spot that's definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in the vicinity. The cuisine is meticulously prepared, and they are considerate of gluten-free dietary needs.
Choose from comfortable indoor or outdoor seating; during our visit, we opted for the outdoor ambiance. They serve their delectable dishes in metal bowls, a nice touch, and provide diners with the option of chopsticks or traditional cutlery. It's worth noting that a 15% service charge is included, so tipping is not necessary.
The star of the show is undoubtedly the Poke, which is nothing short of fantastic. Both the salmon and tuna options are exceptional, as reflected in the stunning photos I've shared. For those who prefer something other than seafood, the chicken is also a worthy choice. Overall, our dining experience left us thoroughly satisfied.
Service at Pok-Ke Ono is top-notch. Our drinks were promptly refilled, and the staff exuded politeness and professionalism. If you happen to be in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It's a culinary experience that...
Read moreWhile service is great here, the food is okay.. we ordered Togo and was served water while we waited. Shanghai lumpia was pretty okay, but be warned very small. $11 was a bit overpriced .. For me personally, the lumpia were pretty good for size and portion. The traditional tuna poke was okay.. it cost $20. Not sure if it was the flavor, but wasn’t a favorite. The Thai shrimps poke was okay, it cost $21. I didn’t really enjoy it.. The miso salmon poke cost $21. It had a weird curry sauce in it which threw me off completely as the description for it did not mention curry. The Halo Halo was pretty good, it cost $17. No complaints there besides it being a bit pricey. My suggestion would be to just order the halo halo and lumpia Shanghai. Although they are a poke restaurant, 3 of their poke’s weren’t good. I wouldn’t suggest getting...
Read moreThis is a difficult review to write. I want to really recommend this place because the food and service were really top notch. Herbivore baos and pho bowl were delicious, if a bit small especially the pho which was more broth than noodles and beef. The order taker was attentive and courteous. However this is the second time that a restaurant in the Renaissance marketplace added a service charge and then the staff asks for a tip when charging the credit card at the table. Look if 15% isn't enough to pay your staff a good wage, then charge 20% or even 25%. It's fine, most of your customers are American tourists who are used to tipping 15% and more. But asking for a tip directly and putting the customer on the spot to name a number is just tacky and awkward for both...
