I asked for a reverse ombre without anything on the top of my head, the bleach overheated to the point it was burning my scalp, I had to call out to get the stylist to check it, once washed out it , she assured me my hair was fine, that we had caught it in time. The appointment continued with the stylist putting a colour over the bleached ends, which were different colours due to the overbleaching on one side and under bleached on the other. The colour was cool, and she curled it which looked nice, but once I washed it started to notice it was very patchy in places, the colour didn't go all the way over the bleached portion (leaving a strange line between my natural colour and the over colour) and was extremely bright on the bleached bits. Over the next few days I noticed serious breakage, despite having put an olaplex treatment in it on the 3rd day. There was also a random purple streak on my natural silver on the top of my head, it was overall very messy and comments I got was that people thought I had done it myself. I contacted Vivo with photos and they were quick to respond with an offer of a full refund. I appreciate the fast response by the customer service team and the offer of a refund. They did offer to fix it but I was not confident with that option. I made an appointment at a hairdresser I had used in the past and they managed to fix it, although the bleached parts were like jelly and need serious treatment to avoid it falling off. The result is that they managed to fix the colour, and give me something that I am not embarrassed of however I did lose a good 4 inches off my long hair and had to spend a large amount of money on repair products to avoid further breakage. The stylist mentioned part way through the appointment that she had googled how to get the look I wanted (which I didn't end up with) ... disappointed that she didn't own the mistake at the time and try to rectify it. I asked for blonde balayage, fading out to my root colour (light brown) so it grows out without obvious regrowth and looks natural. Showed images of exactly what I wanted and the stylist agreed that she could do it. She messed it up the first time and there was clearly a stripe between the top half of my head and the ends that were lighter. She got me to come back for a second appointment to blend the stripe out properly and fix it a week later (free thankfully). In the end there’s still a slight stripe and she took the blonde right up to my roots so 10 weeks later I have huge obvious regrowth. This is not what I asked for. If she wasn’t capable of achieving what I wanted she should have said so at the time.
