City Fitness is a great gym—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with most of the fitness gear and classes I need. However, I’m genuinely surprised that in this age of advanced technology and online convenience, the membership cancellation process is still so outdated.

Despite having the digital infrastructure to manage bookings and member interactions through chatbots, mobile apps, and online platforms, City Fitness still does not offer online membership cancellation. The process is unnecessarily time-consuming.There is no clear information online about how to cancel a membership you must first send an email, wait for a response, and then visit the gym in person to complete the cancellation. On the website said you can type cancel on the red box but when I did type cancel membership, it prompt me to ask the fees instead of directing me to cancel the membership.

For a service that members pay for regularly, the least City Fitness could do is provide a simple, user-friendly cancellation process, especially for those moving overseas. Making a cancellation form available online would be a basic yet meaningful gesture of appreciation toward loyal members who have contributed to the business.

Unfortunately, this poor service experience significantly detracts from an otherwise excellent gym, and it prevents me from giving a full five-star rating. So hope this will give them chance to improve the online membership...

This branch has disappointing service. There is no standardized and consistent management. Different employees have different attitudes and requirements for customers. Their rules are rigid and cannot be adjusted well according to individual circumstances. Most of the rules lose the guarantee of customer service quality, and are more for the gym to cheat you of your membership fee and gym fee. They only treat you as God when you apply for a membership. Then after you pay a high membership fee to join, you will find that they are the real God and forsted to obey all the requirements of their capitalist ideology. The most important thing is that it is difficult to find suitable equipment at normal times. There are too many people and too few equipments, so I can only come to the gym in the middle of the night under pressure of losing enough sleep. Great location with beautiful views of the sea/coast, bringing in plenty of natural sunlight during the day. The platforms are set up in a good location, at the back out of the way from the main gym equipment (no disruptions) cardio equipment faces out towards the view and there is plenty of space to navigate your way through the gym. It's got it all, machines, cardio equipment, free weights, cables, platforms. Massage chairs are a great way to end the gym session. Rumour has it they may be getting a sauna in each changing room?
