Went to see red sparrow today at 1 pm, and the female staff seemed to be deliberately messing with us, or she’s just plain stupid. She asked if we wanted to be at the back row and I told her to put us 2 rows down, then, she clearly stated that we should go to cinema 2 , and because i thought the staff can be trusted, and because we are gonna be late, we went straight to cinema 2 . Found out soon enough that she directed us to see a different film and not only that, she gave us seats at the back row. We had to get out of cinema 2 and went to cinema 3 where red sparrow is already filming, had to go back to this stupid girl to get different seats as i instructed her to do. Now, this is not the first time i’ve watched a movie at hoyts wairau, but this is the only time a staff have messed up not only the seat choice, i do have a hoyts membership card and thought i’ll have at least Have better service, i am upset because this nit job also misled us to a different film. This girl needs to be appraised of her performance, because if she keeps on doing stuff ups like this, i think hoyts need to fire her for making customers upset, and taking away the pleasure and reason for watching a movie at HOYTS. Could somebody in management sort this girl out? I don’t know her name but she has short, curly, ginger hair. If she does it to us again, i will take this up further. Please HOYTS, screen your staff carefully!!! There are a lot of nut jobs out there like this girl that you hired, so please screen them a...

Update: Went and enjoyed The Revenge of Dumbledor at Hoyt's Wairoa today. As always, place was spotless & service was excellent. BUT due to the Labour .govt's dreadful Covid Fear PR Machine, we were the only 2 people in the building... Sad & Angry! So come on Kiwis; it's time to support your local Hoyt's because it's safe to enjoy the movies again... and be VERY careful who you vote for in the next local and national...

Personally, I had a concussion and could not attend anything like the cinemas for nearly a year, and after discussing with a manager on-site he said my gift card would be good for another year. Then it failed to work online or in person, and a different manager said all gift card issues had to go through the online portal. Auto-email said they’d get in touch within 14 working days, but ended up taking over 23 working days, and they said they don’t make any exceptions whatsoever to keeping the money as pure profits even when a customer has had a medical issue.
Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and only buy proper Visa/Mastercard/AmEx gift cards, not ones from these self-serving Aussie...
