A very nice place to visit. We were here in 2007, an informative museum with a lot of history. is special. i loved it. The Rotorua Museum Te Whare Taonga o Te Arawa is a local museum and art gallery located in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, North Island, New Zealand. The museum is housed in the old Bath House building which was opened in 1908 and is listed as the first major investment in the New Zealand tourism industry by the government.
The museum is currently closed as of November 18, 2016 due not meeting stringent NZ earthquake standards and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
