Quench Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Marlborough

We were a group of 6 celebrating a birthday and not one person enjoyed their meal! There was only one vegetarian option which was pasta that wasn’t cooked enough, was surrounded by greasy butter liquid and only just warm. The chicken dish (2 people) was floating in a vegetable broth (very few vegetables and the smell was awful). Both ladies sent theirs back for the broth to be drained as it was off putting! The lamb dish was very small and no veggies, just a potato crust and was too pink (he wasn’t asked how he wanted his meat) and the baked soufflé was very small and not enjoyable. We were disappointed that we could only use the two for one on two meals, we had to pay full price for the other main and also the soufflé plus extra chips. We waited 30min with the menu to order dessert and in the end gave up and paid and left. Very disappointed, if you want to compete with other good restaurants in Blenheim you need to up your game...

We came here spontaneously but did call ahead that we would like to come by. Wich was a good call because they were quite busy so we came in a bit later so they had space for us. Massimiliano the head waiter was absolutely fantastic. And the food aswell. We had 4 entrees instead of main dishes because they sounded so yummy. Very good call again. The chicken pate and venison carpaccio are absolutely fantastic!! The lamb fry is big for an entree but that's all I can criticize... Slightly sterile atmosphere but this is criticism on a very high level... The affogatto in the end as a dessert was the pinnacle of our highlight.... I can highly recommend this place! I will be back if I am in Blenheim...

My husband and I shared an evening meal this week where we were made welcome by staff and had a view of the lovely sun soaked pool area. Our meals were delicious -with beautifully presented and succulent fish and vegetables .. a range of deserts that varied from other “routine choices” at other restaurants - that were a light and tastey way to complete our dining experience perfectly ! Wine Choices offer a wide range of Marlborough’s vineyards which was refreshing from other “eateries” who often only offer one or two local choices ! Already recommended Quench...
