Came in for Brunch with family on a Sunday morning. Busy café but no trouble finding a table and plenty of menu options to choose from. Staff are very friendly and attentive with a smile and great service. Atmosphere is fun and welcoming but could do with a few soft furnishings to reduce the clatter and echo (I'm very sensitive to sound so this is more of a 'me' problem than one of the venue). Drinks came hot, followed by the food which was absolutely delicious 😋 Beautifully presented and very flavoursome. A great place to stop for coffee and a cake, a milkshake or something more filling. Great staff, all working with a warm smile.

A friend and I had lunch here yesterday. This was a Christmas statuary holiday and as far as we could tell, this was one of; or perhaps the only open cafe in town. The service was excellent, and the food was tasty and well presented. The staff were cheerful and friendly, despite being under some considerable pressure. Why then I hear you say, did you only give four stars. Well despite all the good things I have said, I thought the prices were way to high and the portions rather small. Before you say there was a holiday surcharge, $31.05 for two small portions of macaroni cheese is still to much.

6 of us (3 men, 3 women) had a lunch meeting on Wed. 23 Sept. The environment was light, fresh, airy and friendly, quite a few people, so reasonably busy. The food was of excellent quality, perhaps slightly pricy but good value for the quality. The staff were perfect in every way, friendly, efficient, personable. The most impressive action, however, was that, although all 6 of us ordered different lunches, they arrived timely and all together. This is a rare service offered in cafes these days. So to all the staff, GOOD ON YOU. We will be back.

Although I've always had great service and food here, I had a negative experience with the barista today. I ordered an almond iced coffee as I'm celiac and can't have oat milk as it will make me very sick. The lady with pink hair on the register was absolutely lovely and confirmed it was an almond iced coffee 3 times to me, but when the baritsa came over with the drink, she had made it with oat milk. I brought it back over to the barista and told her I can't have oat milk as I'm allergic to gluten and ordered with almond milk. When I told her this she glared at me and rolled her eyes which I found to be very rude and offensive as I have no control over my intolerance and had always thought that cbd was a safe space for me to eat and drink. While I waited for her to remake the drink I could see her very clearly glaring at me from the coffee machine which made me severally uncomfortable and if I didn't have food coming I would have left because of it. She did remake it and brought it over, saying she was sorry, but I just found the way she dealt with the situation to be completely disrespectful and downright rude. I have no wish for her to be fired but I do think it would be good to talk to her about her customer service and people skills. I have no desire to spend days in bed sick unable to move and potentially hospitalized because of an easy to fix mistake. Other than the baritsa the rest of the staff were lovely and the food was great. Luckily I...

I'm making my way through the menu as we settle into our new location. We wondered into the CBD a month ago and find no shortage of excuses to come back each week.

If you can get in early enough, the three cheese scones are the best in Blenheim. They also carry a delightfully aromatic Earl Grey.

The Eggs Benedict is served with an abundant and saporous helping of lemony hollandaise sauce; choices of bacon, avocado, or salmon. For the most part the eggs are soft poached as expected but we've had a couple of disappointments with the eggs cooked through which is a bit naughty since the poaching is key to a great Benedict.

The bacon Mac and Cheese is okay. It's creamy and salty with well integrated sauce but the bacon overwhelms the dish taking the attention away from the sauce.

The Blueberry Pancake's ambrosial fluffy texture. Dulcet and delectable with its fluffy texture. I dreamed of this for a straight week after my last go.

The Spanish omelette only implies the veggies cooked in (vs hiding in the folded egg pancake) not the traditional tortilla de patatas. The texture is light and buoyant with the flavor of veg standing out over hints of onion or cheese.

The coffee is nice and the staff friendly. Thus far it's my favorite cafe...

CBD Eateries Cafe is the best place in Blenheim to go anytime really especially at weekends. The couple who run the business they work bloody hard, and so do the staff as well. The food is A1 top notch, and there's a wide selection on the board and in the cabinets. The big brekkie would be my pick, but it's always bloody difficult deciding what Mrs and I will have.

Got get there early during the weekends if you are looking for somewhere to go as there's bugger all other places to choose from in Blenheim.

Well done, Mike and Mrs Mike, as you guys do an awesome job, and we will always keep coming back. Sea food chowder is the best i have ever tried. Bloody awesome.

Sore...
