Only place open around Blenheim when the other café's close (some close at 2:30p.m, and a lot of others 3 and one by 4p.m.) to get an afternoon tea snack and drink, someone ordered a coffee ☕ ~4:30/4:45p.m.
Great atmosphere, I enjoy the music 🎶🎵.
Access: ♿ lift/elevator as pictured on one side. Has stairs leading up to the entrance at both ends.
Service: Great service from those who provided it.
I thoroughly enjoyed majority of the food upon my 2 visits. The white chocolate and berry muffin 🧁 was on the pricey side $6.70¢ but, it's a a big muffin and having it heated with butter 🧈 made it even more enjoyable, it was absolutely delicious not dry either and settled my hungry tummy. Garlic 🧄 🍞 bread was delicious, the ribs were nice but, wasn't very tender and juicy. Fries 🍟 I think from memory were nice but, would benefit from some seasoning offered on the side like salt 🧂 and chicken salt to make it have more flavoursome and thereby tasty ☺️. Atmosphere: Great view through the windows 🪟 especially on the side nearest to the outdoor upstairs eating where there's statues and brick 🧱.
🅿️/parking: Roadside parking 🅿️ nearby.
Price: Food can be on the pricey side depending what you get.
Menu: Note: Image of ribs from the 27th of March but, menu 24th of April doesn't have it listed as menu has changed. Menu changes often there which is good when wanting to try something else but, don't rely on the Google images of the menu as I did initially when I called and the menu had changed, I was advised the up to date list is on...
Read moreFeel very mixed about the experience there, firstly the pizzas were amazing! We would come back for those...but maybe takeaway next time, and without the topping of big black hair cooked into the cheese! I love a nice garlic bread but theirs was under whelming with a funky taste, was like the cheepest minced garlic from a jar that just wrecked the nice bread it was spread onto. I was there with 4 children, (had read online it was a great place to take kids) however we had some rude inpatient service from the first man when he was trying to take our order, he seemed ticked off that I was taking a few mins to read out the short kids menu to my kids. He showed us to a table set for 4 there were 5 of us and he didn't then go get the items for the other place setting (so eventually we did as the table of supplies was nearby) he seems annoyed filling up our waters too, Then a lovely lady took over! Unfortunately kids wouldn't touch their meal after finding the hair, i let the staff know. They said they would tell the chef but it wasn't otherwise acknowledged. Didn't finish my coffee it wasn't nice, and I'd normally order another coffee after my meal. Lot of money to spend on a dissapointing experience where alot didn't get eaten . However Kids loved the colouring pens and activity menu! And the pizzas were...
Read moreOrdered the PORCELLINO pizza, not very good. Base was a bit crumbly for my taste, but excusable. The amount of cheese was frankly ridiculous, I was fighting with it most of the time to keep the other ingredients on the crust. Pork belly was badly rendered so it amounted to squares of warm fat occasionally turning up in a bite. Other ingredients fairly sparse compared to the sheer mountain of cheese I was confronted with.
Complained to manager about Mt Cheeseverest - suggested there was potentially too much cheese used on our pizza. Warning to all! He does not take criticism of his pizzas very well. To his credit and very kindly, he removed the pizza from our bill which we did not ask for.
He then proceeded to reel off statistics of how many pizzas he sells and how clearly we were in the wrong for daring to suggest ours had too much cheese. Suggested loudly and condescendingly that if we did not enjoy his pizza that maybe pizza hut would be more our location of choice.
All in all, a poor experience and not one I am likely to inflict on myself or...
