Gordon Harris Newmarket — Attraction in Waitematā

I bought a Lamy pen, recommended to me by their staff, and a box of ink. After I used it a second time, the lamy pen couldn't write. I sent it to their shop for repair. The staff refused to repair it for me. At my insistence. They said call me when it's ready. After more than a month did not call me, I took the initiative to contact, twice, they said it’s ready. I went to get a pen, who knows still can’t write they staff tested in front me, a few days later this morning, received a phone call, said I used the ink does not match, so they can't do everything! My ink was recommended by their clerk! And they said if I can't remember which staff they refused to repair my pen. They don't do after sales, they just sell.

Very bad experience, I think I will never go to their store to buy things, so many art stores, there is no need to be so perfunctory.

I spend around $3000 at golden Harries, but they refuse to repair a pen and waste me around one month! I think they never wanted to try, I'm so furious about this. After you reply:

This place has a character all of it's own. The owner decorated the ceiling with posters, magazine ads, and other printed material in the 1970s, so the ceiling is a bit of a time capsule. The menu here is more limited than other restaurants on the island, this being due to the shortages of staff. That said, they have kept their fish platter meal, a two level assemblage of muscles, scallops, fish, salt and pepper squid, and other treats, making it well worth a visit. Here you can get canvases, paints eg spray, pens & brushes, watercolour and gauche. You can also get notebooks of blank, dotted, grid and lined from different types, quality and brand. You can also get cheaper stationary like Fabre Castell and Staedlter. Items are a little pricy compared to online stores like Aliexpress. Staff are friendly and went out of their way to find the item I needed. This store has all the basics like you’d except but wouldn’t have everything like MUJI, Whitelines and Zebra (the international brands in America and Japan).
