Mitre 10 started in 1959 and is a kiwi owned company still today. Mitre 10 will beat competitors prices by 15% on the same item or product. Sometimes they have sausage sizzle and fizzy drinks for sale. They also offer home decoration, painting and gardening. They are open from 7am to 6pm 7 days a week but weekend times might change. They conveniently located around Auckland and New Zealand. There are 366 stores through out new Zealand. For example there are 28 stores in auckland at convenient locations and massive stores. The mitre 10 is a major New Zealand chain for home improvements stores established in 1959. It employs close to five thousand team members combined and functions as a cooperative with over 366 stores run by over 60 local owner operators or franchises. It is an entirely separate company from the Australian mitre 10 home improvement stores. We are New Zealand biggest hardware store in the 70s thru to now. You will get better deals at mitre 10 and truly recommend shopping here for all your household needs....

I previously gave a poor review but I have increased it because even though a couple of the checkout staff members are a bit odd and don't even say hello, they seem to have hired a new bunch of people who actually have basic social and customer service skills and gotten rid of the one lady with the beanie who somehow turned the checkout process into a conflict every time! It's actually been a pleasant experience coming here the last few times! Mind you, I now mostly do click and collect and still prefer to do in-person shopping at Bunnings as I am still quite put off by being followed around...

Small store but has a decent selection of the main things you’d expect for a store that size. Arrived early and the doors opened a couple minutes late but I wasn’t in a hurry. The staff were proactively helpful directing me to what I was looking for. By the time I selected my choice and went to check out the tills weren't operating and took a 5 min wait. Bought 2 x 18m rope lights as they were priced really cheap online at $24 each. Was overcharged to by $28 to start with and had to go back from the car when I noticed. The refund was painless and easy. I think it’s under new ownership hence the teething issues. Hence the 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
