Was a Fork virgin but the need to see Deva Mahal live was too good to pass up. It's like a sneaky side Bar on the stadium, but dark and warm inside. Door men were friendly from the offset, the bar staff too and drinks were well priced for town. My friend highly recommends the hot chips as it was a long drive in from the coast . We were there to see Deva but also luckily caught the nostalgic tones of kat Little. The sound is good, the space intimate but kinda cool seeing the pure joy on the faces of the crowd as Deva hit those notes, rather than looking round the screen of someone filming what they could just watch. It was like going back a few years to when you could really enjoy the whole experience in person. Will definitely come again.

We came here for the concert of Joh Mayer. The bar is very cool and service is good, but the music outside was very depressing and boring. Outside were a couple of food trucks (Maybe organised by Spark Arena) the one called Gorilla is a rip off and will never buy from them again. We paid $15 for a mushroom burger with 2 mushrooms, 1 slice of tomato, a bit of lettuce and lots of tomato sauce, and no meet whatsoever. The mushroom were not even tasty

What an amazing venue - we saw John Craigie here - if you haven’t listened to him, look him up in Spotify - parked about 2 blocks away . . . and just immersed ourselves in the music, the vibe, and the crowd. Loved every minute of this small venue - got front row seats (without paying through the nose for anything extra), but you could see, hear and almost touch the performers from all seats, and generally had a blast. Highly recommended!

The Tuning Fork is situated in the Spark Arena . It has thus a captive audience ad show goers usually arrive early because of Auckland's unpleasant traffic. This was our second visit here as out-of-towners. Last time we came with friends from a fishing village in BOP. Three of us had fish which was a disappointing, no-longer firm, hoki. My husband wanted to give them a second go as I am in a wheelchair and thus the eatery within the arena building is convenient . This time we chose a pizza as it is harder to get wrong. The pizza base was well made, appearing hand made, thin and crispy but the edges were charred and inedible in a couple of spots. The margherita topping was adequate...no frills and minimal. Acceptable but disappointing as just a little fresh basil garnish or a touch of parmesan or mozzarella would have lifted it. We noted a few other pizzas with charred rims too so either the pizza oven or the operator of the oven needs remedying. Another disappointment was that the bar could not provide a slice of lemon/lime or cucumber for my gin n tonic. The tonic came from a plastic bottle and had lost some if it's fizz. Service is brisk and effective as this is a very busy place. Decor is tired , the tables a gloomy dark wood and cramped. Though we said we were sharing the pizza, no side plates were brought. The table next to ours had to ask and wait for cutlery as their food cooled in front if them. Poor effort Tuning Fork. I feel you are abusing your patrons offering mediocre fun fare food at this prime venue. Not a good Auckland experience for these...
