Most of their dishes are bursting with authentic flavors. The only exception was the paratha, which felt more like a stuffed naan than a traditional paratha. The Chicken Lollipop was delicious, though it could’ve been even better with a little less sauce/curry. The restaurant’s location is very convenient, situated right near the harbour.
A special mention to their manager, Shubham, who was exceptionally warm and attentive, making our dining experience truly enjoyable. The pricing is quite reasonable for the quality they offer. We tried the Prawn Chilli with semi-gravy which had the perfect balance of spice and flavor. The Fish Tikka was crispy and expertly prepared, while the Kadai Paneer was rich and delectable. For drinks, we had mango lassi and wrapped up the meal with a comforting cup of Masala Chai.
The next day, we placed a takeaway order of samosas and parathas for our flight. The samosas were tasty, and Shubham ensured everything was packed thoughtfully for travel.
We highly recommend this restaurant, whether you're dining in or...
Read moreToday was the third time I visited this place. Absolutely great place to visit! Prices are very reasonable and the quality of food is superb. They have a well stocked bar also. I had Mughlai Chicken, Chicken Malai Tikka, and Butter Naan for lunch today with a chilled can of Kingfisher beer. The chicken was tender and delicious, NOT oily, and I am still licking my fingers after my lunch! The staff was very cordial and friendly (as on my previous visits here), and I was fortunate to meet Mr. Shubham again and Ms. Ramandeep, who were managing the restaurant today and providing excellent service to all the customers. Mr. Shubham, as on my previous visits here, was very cheerful, polite and professional with everybody. I even got a complimentary drink today, which I was not expecting. I highly recommend this restaurant for the service, quality of food and its ambiance. I will definitely keep going back to this place. Please continue to keep up the good work and service! Great staff, great people and...
Read moreNight#1 in Auckland was wet and horrid, so we ended up ordering a Chicken Biryani via Uber Eats. As I unpacked the order I realized I had struck gold ordering from here. The different levels of spice throughout the Biryani, the yoghurt that accompanied the dish and the heavenly garlic naan was something I had only had when working in India (Chennai, Pune and Bangalore). Nearly every store will claim to be "authentic" , but in this case this place can truly say that!
So night#2 I ordered direct (only 8 minute walk from our hotel) and this time got their dinner combo. I got a Indian style butter chicken (medium), butter naan, rice and a drink. The spices were yet again very authentic, with flavours true to the style you'd be served in India (no creamy tomato flavour to be seen).
So next time you're in Auckland and want authentic flavours, super soft naan and accompaniments that enhance your meal, then this is the...
