Hello and welcome to my review.

Awesome mall overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Even if your not planning to buy anything, the views alone are worth it. This mall is very popular with visitors and locals, and has excellent security and staff. The premises is kept very neat and tidy.

There is a very beautiful park outside which is excellent for biking, walking or just admiring the scenery.

Tons of bilingual employees also. It’s a once in a lifetime experience to visit a place like this. Very unique in my opinion!

The Ocean is visible from pretty much every place in the centre, there are exceptions like the movie theatre and parking lot though. Because of the proximity to the water, the mall has a constant cool breeze, which is nice.

There’s tons of shops and services. From all of the major brands to local ones as well. Prices for the shops vary, but this mall is usually on the higher tier or things.

Some of the stores include, Apple, Nike, Metro/Wong, Sol Alpaca, and Lacoste. There is a Perú Rail Kiosk so you can buy tickets for Machu Picchu and Cusco as well. As mentioned previously, there is a movie theatre and bowling alley too.

Food court is located on the main floor, and also has a variety of options. The food court has Pizza Hut, Bembos, China Wok, and others as well. There’s also stuff like T.G.I. Friday’s but it’s not in the main food court area.

This mall is located right across the Marriot Hotel. Many other hotels are within walking distance as well. Parking is available, but I don’t know if it’s complementary or not. Unfortunately, Perú isn’t very wheelchair friendly, but this mall is an exception and has accessible features.

For travellers the most convenient way of getting here is by taxi, they’re not too expensive and fairly reliable, make sure you go with a trusted agency though. Absolutely DO not drive if you are a foreigner! If you are used to driving in very complex and unpredictable places, then I guess you could try but it’s at your own expense!

If you don’t mind walking a bit further you can also take the Metropolitano Buses and get off at the 28 de Julio Station. From there it’s like a 15 min. walk to Larcomar. If you use a combo of bus and car it’s good as well. It’s a very beautiful and peaceful walk to here. Ask for directions if you’re unsure.

Miraflores is a very safe district so you shouldn’t worry too much about waking on your own even at night. Just be practical like anywhere else and you’ll be fine.

Unless you’re familiar with local transit/buses, or are going with a local city resident, I do not recommend taking it. Local transit is very different than municipal run transit.

Local transit is run by privately owned individuals and while being ridiculously cheap, it is old fashioned, both in services and fleet, highly chaotic, and can also be hazardous, although I’ve never had anything bad happen to me. Overall, it’s a very unique cultural experience.

If you do want to take local transit, be mindful of the above statement. You’ll be in for the ride of your life! Municipal buses on the other hand are safe, cheap, efficient for the most part, comfortable, modernized and act like any other major transit system in the world.

Unfortunately, no matter which system you choose, there’s often a lot of people which can make things crowded. I’ve been on both systems before so I know the differences!

From Downtown Lima to Miraflores varies. In good traffic conditions it can take an hour to over an hour to reach here. More time is required if coming from farther away. Thanks and...

Americans...Larcomar is a beautiful and safe location with many stores and restaurants. It has become essentially the crown jewel of Lima, and the most high end, popular spot. If you stay anywhere near here, you will be safe, and there is much to do all in walking distance. Find Kennedy Park on the map. If you stay near Larcomar and Kennedy Park, anywhere in that area, you will have a great time. That area is very safe and convenient. At night it's very beautiful as well. Great for pictures. There is a food court in the basement with many options. Be sure to eat ceviche, aji de gallina, anticuchos, scallops, green spaghetti, and clams. Shopping: The good...you will find things there you won't find in the U.S. or outside of Peru. The bad...Costs are higher for things you CAN find in the U.S. the same pair of Nike shoes I bought for $110 in Florida, were $149 in a store in Larcomar. Restaurants...Tanta and Mango's are our favorites. This is also a good area to exercise. Walking, bikes, skateboards, roller blades. You see it all. But it's not like there are rough kids all around. It's more of an upbeat, happy, respectful atmosphere. There is plenty of security as well. I saw a homeless guy, drunk (looked American actually), who was kind of pestering young girls. Didn't break any laws, just being a problem. And Security walked him off of the property right away. There are many taxi cabs available there as well. Walk along the water to Love Park ( Parque Del Amor) and China Park (Parque Chino). Both are a close, walk, just long enough that it feels good to go walk. Nice views, peaceful atmosphere. I will include a few pictures of...

If you thought shopping was just about buying things, Larcomar Shopping Mall is here to prove you wrong – it's practically a sport. Perched precariously on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this place offers you the unique chance to shop with a view that might just distract you from your credit card bill. The variety of stores? Overwhelming in the best way possible. You can find everything from those high-end brands you can't afford to quirky local stores where you'll buy things you never knew you needed. And the staff in each store are so friendly, you'll start to wonder if they're actually that nice or just really good at their job.Dining at Larcomar is an experience in itself. The food is so good, you might forget to Instagram it – but don't worry, the ocean view will remind you. And if shopping and eating aren't enough, there's always a cinema and a bowling alley to visit. Because nothing says 'I've had a successful shopping day' like watching a movie or throwing a bowling ball with your shopping bags...
