Read moreWe came to this restaurant mainly for the view, and it turned out to be a great choice for a relaxed lunch. It’s located on the second floor, right above Alona Beach, so you get a beautiful sea view and a lovely breeze while you eat. The decor is tropical and cozy, making it a nice spot to unwind.
Service was a bit slow — we waited quite a while before anyone came to take our order. As for the food, it was okay but nothing special. I had the Thai beef curry — the sauce was flavorful, but the beef was really tough and hard to chew. My friend ordered a Mexican wrap, which was actually quite tasty.
Drinks were refreshing and made with fresh fruit, not too sweet — which we appreciated.
One big plus is that the restaurant is connected to the Sequest Dive Center. So if you’re doing a course there, it’s super convenient. You can eat, dive, and even stay here, all in one place.
Overall, I’d say come for the view and atmosphere — it’s one of the nicest spots on the beach to chill out during the day. Just be patient with the service, and don’t expect...
Read moreThis is a review for the Oasis Restaurant only. We stayed at the resort for a week and ate/drank at the restaurant several times at various hours of the day
Pros: +Best cocktails on Alona Beach, and some decent wines as well +Lovely upstairs seating area overlooking the main drag and beach
Cons: -Food was very hit or miss, mostly miss, and pizza was unavailable twice when we tried to order it. Sweet potato fries were inedible. Bolognese sauce had the consistency of glue. Coconut curry was nice. -Service was consistently slow and borderline incompetent. Several times we watched our drinks sit on the bar for 5-10 minutes before they were picked up and delivered to our table. Our last evening at Oasis we had to ask after our drinks thrice before we finally got them, and by that time they were warm.
Bottom line I would definitely stop in here for a drink or three (and order at the bar to avoid relying on the servers) but the restaurant experience was not great and I would have skipped it if I hadn't also been staying...
