First of all, it’s usually not my nature to blame someone or something but in this case there is no other option. We stayed at this „hotel“ (actually does not deserve this name) for 2 nights. Within the first 14 hours I had to go 4 times to the reception to complain about different things and to move to other rooms twice. When we arrived in our room there were no sheets on the pillow and the pillow itself was full of stains. Furthermore the room smelled so bad like fish or mold so that I went to the reception to ask for another room. They gave us another room which smelled better in the beginning but still stains on both pillow and fitted sheet which we asked to swap. Again at the reception. We wanted to take a shower (touching this dirty faucet was the worst) but we noticed that there is no hot water, so I went again to the reception to get this fixed. So they did. During the night the smell in the room changed that it smelled so disgusting like in the other room before and I was almost about to throw up. Sleeping was almost impossible. In the Morning I wanted to take a shower but the water smelled - without exaggerating - literally like sh** and that was the point where I had enough. Again I went to the reception to complain and asked for either an appropriate room upgrade or a full refund. They again sent us to another room to check if this is suitable for us. We went to the room, checked the linen but again: disgusting stains on both pillow and fitted sheet. So the room service again changed the linen which then were ok. To put it in a nutshell, I cannot recommend this accommodation at all and I’d rather sleep in a tent or at the beach than paying any peso for this hotel again. It’s definitely not worth the money. It is just outdated and needs a complete renovation. Seems as if the management of the hotel fails miserably. P.S.: the ladies at the reception strived to help what I really appreciate, because it definitely wasn’t their fault.

We ordered a stay at Lost Horizon through Expedia. There ended up being complications due to a typhoon, but suffice it to say that Marycris and the staff went above a beyond to make our guests feel special and cared for. We paid for 3 days, for my wife's Mother and 3 others. (2 rooms) We started communicating a couple of weeks in advance because we wanted some surprises for Mama's 60th birthday. I have to say that there was nothing disappointing about their stay and the presentations were incredible. Marycris and the staff even did things that they didn't tell us about. Let me run through a couple of thing: Her room was decorated with happy birthday signs, balloons, a printed sign for her that said "Happy Birthday Mama Cecilia" on it and towels shaped into swans. They didn't tell me that they were going to do this but they did. Then they made videos and took pictures for us while they walked our guests to their rooms and welcomed them! Tehn during dinner (which I'm assured was wonderful) they made a cake and had a bouquet of flowers for Mama (making another video for us) and the band led everyone in singing happy birthday to her. She was overwhelmed with joy from the start of the visit and had no words for the kindness and detail that the Lost Horizon staff offered all of them. Care, attention to detail, communication and the staff took care of every need our guests had. We can't thank the staff enough for everything they did. My wife is in the hotel management field and she was very pleased also. Thank you Marycris and everyone! We will be using your services each time we come to Panglao/Bohol.

Rooms: We got the modern room with a king bed. I cant say mucj about service cz we didnt use room service requests or such. However, if you go to places like these, it is expected that youll just go to your room to sleep and rest and enjoy most of the day checking the place, do island hopping, dolphin watching, snorkel or scuba diving, etc. They have decent water pressure, hot/cold shower. Room is a 4 because 1, not expensive and 2, room is still decent with clean bathroom and your own cabinet. The air conditioning unit though, needs REPLACEMENT!😂 I personally did not experience negative stuff like what the others had. However, take into consideration, there will always be inconsistencies. Pool is a bit small but not always crowded since the location of the inn is just 15 to 30 steps from the beach. They accept card payment besides cash. Food: if you feel like you wont like their menu, theres options nearby. Parking: dont expect it to be as big as jpark.😂 Wifi/internet: Not congested but dont expect much. Theres LTE (im using Globe mobile data/ i dont know sa other networks) but not much 5G in Panglao and wa ko kasabot ngano ni. Galaw2 LGU. Sigh

My stay here was absolutely horrible. I’ve only been here for one night but i have so much to say. Though the pictures might look tempting do NOT come here. The only good thing about this place is that there is a beach view.

I booked and paid two rooms with twinsized beds for my family, upon arrival they told me there weren’t any twinsize bed rooms available. Not even one! Although i already paid for two. Eventually they found a queen sized bed room and i had no choice but to take it. I had 4 pieces of heavy luggage to carry and the staff didn’t help with any of it and just stood there and watched. I was tired and wasn’t bothered as much until the next morning.

I woke up with 7 new mosquito bites on my legs. The rooms (at least the one i was at and from what i’ve read from other reviews) are filled with mosquitos and are very dirty. I went to breakfast and thought they had nice options but that they’re quite expensive. When the food arrived, it was horrible quality. I found a dead fly in my scrambled eggs and when i complained they told me it was burnt beef which it did NOT look like. They told me to just eat it and i did not get a new meal or a refund.

Horrible experience so far. After much debate i got moved to a new room and i’m praying my stay...
