Summary: mediocre authentically
Was told that this Chinese (Cantonese specifically) restaurant was visited by celebrities and politicians back in its heyday. As a Cantonese person, I’ve got to try
Peking duck ⭐️⭐️⭐️ this is an extremely meaty version compared to Beijing and Canton’s versions which I have no complaint taste like what you’d have in canton region
Wonton noodles 0️⃣ it’s a joke by the standards of wonton noodles. Wonton’s extremely yellow, somehow has lots of oil. The soup isn’t right for the dish I can understand those who find it tasty without judging it by it being wonton noodles, just a hard no for me
char siu, some dim sum, efu noodles ⭐️⭐️ They taste like restaurants that don’t do well in Cantonese region. Like sure, yea, they are authentic, but can’t say they are good. Again, that’s by canton’s standards, not ph’s
Yang chow fried rice ⭐️ Taste ok, no wok hei though, which would be very much expected in a restaurant supposedly good
It’s affordable to me as a foreigner, but would I call it reasonably priced for this quality? No
Am sure there are better options even just within the...

Upon our visit, our dog was denied entry, and they claimed that they don’t allow pets inside. We told them about our previous inquiry, but they kept denying it. We even asked what if we sit near the entrance and our dog will not leave his carrier, but they still said no. As we specifically went there for my Mom to try Peking duck, we ended up sitting near the entrance and just watched over our dog in his carrier outside the restaurant. Quite appalled that the person who appears to be the manager(?) only came to apologize when they saw that we ordered quite a lot of food. 🤡
Other than that, the other staffs were attentive and nice. Peking duck was nice but overall, food quality is not worth the...
Read moreImpressed with the luxurious maintenance of this Gloria Maris branch unlike some authentic Chinese restaurant that tastes great but not too keep on upkeep. Everything we ordered was spot on flavorful, excellent value for money!
They have function rooms and we were surprised we were assigned a big private room that fits up to 40 pax though we were only a group of less than 10.
Nearest parking is basement level of Gateway 2 and the nearest parking elevator leads right in front on Gloria Maris on the 4th floor.
50% reservation required for advance bookings.
There was a courteous and attentive dedicated wait staff assisting our group throughout our 4-hr stay.
COVID-19 prevention protocols in place. Comfort rooms are...
