Red Planet Aurora Blvd., is neatly situated at the heart of Cubao, a prime location containing the busiest transport hubs in Luzon.
It's 10 minutes walk from Araneta City Bus Port, 5 minutes walk from LRT-2. Scattered around it are malls like Gateway Mall, Ali Mall, and SM Cubao that are all at walking distance.
Impressingly, despite towering directly the traffic and the LRT-2, rooms are fairly quiet. You can faintly hear the passing train and vehicles. Not distracting nor disturbing at all.
Rooms at this hotel, especially their "Double Room" that I have tried, offer a single Full Double bed with a thick comfortable mattress and comforter, a toilet and bathroom with water heater for both the showers and sinks, a smart TV, fast internet speed averaging at 100mbps, a mini fridge, and an inverter aircon.
Rooms are accessible via a single elevator that goes up to 10 floors. There are actually 2 elevators but for some reason, in the months that I have visited this branch only one of them works. A key card is provided to guests upon check-in to be able to enter their designated rooms.
In about the 5+ rooms that I have stayed in over the months, I do notice some quality issues that justifies the 3-star rating provided by the Department of Tourism.
For starters, there's an accent light neatly hidden in the ceiling directly above the bed, I unfortunately have only seen this work once. Most time it's flashing, buzzing, or simply not working at all. Thankfully you can keep this turned off via a light switch.
Speaking of light switches, those that are besides the bed and on the table have USB plugs that you can use to directly power your devices.
Going back to some quality issues, some finishes of the room seemed rush, I've seen visible paint marks from time to time. Sheets, although I would say are clean there are visible stains on them. I once had a cleaning person change the sheets while I was in the room, and even the replacement that they brought had some visible stains, but again, are clean. It could be that white sheets are just really hard to clean.
Despite some drawbacks in the quality of the rooms, Red Planet Aurora Blvd. still fairs better compared to its competition in the area, offering cheap rates for comfortable room for a quick stay.
Service wise, from the security guards, to the receptionists, down to the cleaners, everyone has a very positive and welcoming attitude. The smiles under their face masks are truly appreciated.
One con that is consistent with all of the branches of Red Planet Hotels is their use of wall pumps for 3-in-1 liquid soaps, and no other toiletries included. Even lower quality and more budget hotels offer basic amenities kit. So beware, bring your own toiletries - granted this is mentioned in their description, so I'm personally more than prepared.
A quick tip is to download their mobile app because their rates in there are far cheaper compared to booking directly at the front desk. Also, you can only communicate with them via their app. If you'd like to call, you would have to use your own cellphone as a landline is not provided too.
Overall, despite the flaws that I mentioned I would still stay at Red Planet Aurora Blvd., because of its cheap rates, its distance to transport hubs and malls.
So, if you're looking for a hotel for a business travel, solo, couple, and a quick place to get in for a good night's sleep, try Red Planet Aurora, as it fair better compared to its competition...

I made a booking from 21st of May 2025 for my 70 years old mom, and 2 of my family members . To cut the story short they arrived at the hotel roughly 5am of 21st May 2025. My mom requested for an early checked in, since my mom was very tired from the travel via ferry from Romblon to Lucena and bus to Cubao to the hotel) . The staff that day charged her an extra of 2000 php which is more than folds of the daily charge of the hotel . We are okie with it, because my mom needed the rest . But to think the charged was very high , I will never recommend this hotel really to my friends .
The saddest part was , they made an early check out roughly 2am of 25th May from hotel drove to airport to catch a flight ✈️ however there is an unfortunate situation happened , we need to re- schedule their flight to 30th May 2025.
So we again book and paid online in same hotel from 25th May 2025 until 30th May 2025. After my online payment with my booking, I called the reception to please accomodate my Mom whose 70 years old for an early check in since originally we had a booking still that was paid earlier until 25th May 2025 But the staff says that unfortunately, we don't have a room available , I beg her please my mon is 70 years old with a 9 yearl old kid and they left the hotel 2am , probably woke up earlier to prepare and they needed to rest and sleep once they are back . She insist , no room available, really ? ? ? I knew she was lying ....I was so frustrated at her , what a heartless staff , whoever you are ill will try to find your name 25th May 2025 Early morning shift, I again told her , my mom is 70 and she needed rest and sleep because of the situation , But she repeatedly insist they don't have room available , I told her they just left their room 3 hours ago , originally we are paid til midday of 25th and I paid again from 25th to 30th but she didnt listen and told me to let my mom wait once they arrived and they will see.
Worst thing happened , my mom arrived roughly 8.30am at the hotel . They told to my mom there is no available room and no clean room 😢 and they need to wait, I know that they don't just wanted to do something with the situation ! Very bad 👎
I knew that they are lying and they just don't want to do anything , legally we are paid but they treated my mom that way which is very unacceptable .
When I was on call with the staff and beg her to please accomodate my mom she needed the rest, and I even ask her to please let me speak to your manager and she said that I am the hotel manager and if you are the hotel manager whom I spoke to, whoever your name is ehich I will find out soon You are heartless , to think you have a parents probably same age of my mom but you never think of her situation she is 70 years old . Common We are paid legally regardless of what happened !
I used to book and used your hotel since then many times but after this I will never recommend your hotel never again to my friends

Stayed here for 7 days. Generally enjoyed my stay. Just be aware that they have daily housekeeping service that will knock on your door late in the morning or come in your room when you're outside to tidy it up. I experienced the latter one time. I went out for about 30 minutes to grab some food and when I came back my room, the bed had been made, towels refolded (or possibly replaced with new ones), and trash emptied. My stuff that was on my sheets before I left had been moved aside. I wasn't aware that this is their routine so I was unpleasantly surprised. I had 2 big luggages and I brought many things with me for a long trip. Both luggages were open and my things including clothes, gadgets, and otther valuables were everywhere the room. I didn't feel comfortable with this for I was worried about my things and I don't like the idea that somebody can have a glance of your personal belongings especially when you're not around. It's almost like an invasion of privacy in my book. If you don't want housekeeping, there's a tag that you could hang on your doorknob that reads somewhat, "Do Not Disturb" which can also mean "No Housekeeping Please". I learned this from the supervisor after raising the issue to the front desk. All staffs provided exceptional service, courtesy, and knowledge. This is a relatively new hotel/building. This branch just opened last Feb 2018 if I'm not mistaken. All things are new, clean, and working. Unlike its more senior branches, the rooms in this branch have their own fridge (yes!), elec. kettle (yes!), and 2 mugs...a welcome improvement. There's also a blow dryer. Water pressure is awesome. Hot & cold water/shower. Amazingly huge Samsung SMART TV with good channels (analog though). Comfy bed, pillows, and comforter. Interior design is very modern. My favorite amenity is the super fast fiber Internet. Each room has its own WiFi router so the signal is strong and stable. I could get as high as 45Mbps download speeds. This was really important for me. Also, download their app. You can use it to chat with or call the front desk for concerns. There are also rare times when it' s cheapest to book in the app especially when they have promos. Last thing is that they don't provide slippers and complimentary water, toothbrush/paste but they do have those for sale at the front desk. Liquid soap/shampoo provided in the bathroom as well as towels. There, I think I've said enough. I've come to really love the Red Planet hotel chains. I enjoy my stay everytime. Can't wait to stay here again. Hope to see you at this hotel...
