It's not our first time availing room in this branch. This has been one of our favorite spot to relax and rest for almost 2 years that we've been together but now, probably our last on this branch alone.
Lady Guard marked our ticket 1:10pm and we went to the reception area. Staffs there weren't that welcoming that it took me 3 times to ask what are the rooms available yet being offered only the ECONO Room. Not sure if these were the only type of room available butI had a feeling were being profiled by how we dressed.
I sent a message to let them know that the AC in RM 305 isn't working as expected--too hot in the room even doing such multiple adjustments. We asked help from the crew and we were told that it may take 10-15 minutes before the room gets cold. We've been there for almost 30 minutes yet the room temperature hasn't changed.
Someone named Jonathan came knocking who asked if everything's okay. We reiterated what we were told by the crew. He also apologized for the inconvenience, and offered an option to transfer to another room, and that they will add free hour of stay.
We gave it some time until we didn't notice that the check out time is almost near. Guess what? Still, the temperature is too warm inside compared to the coldness on the lobby when we went out. Further, receptionist called around 6:55pm saying that we only have 10 minutes left. Even though our check out without the additional free hour as promised was 7:15pm. Overall...
Read moreI use to stay with this hotel because of cleanliness and their staff's prompt response whenever you need / ask for something. They are always there to assist you. The sorrounding environment is not very pleasant as you walk going to the hotel because its very crowded, and its one of the busiest area in quezon city but its also beneficial to the hotel itself because its one of the cheapest yet has cleanest rooms compared to other hotels/motels nearby. The only problem I had with this hotel is when I book through a 3rd party website called travelbook.ph, I called twice 3-4 days to make sure the hotel had my booking but when I arrive they can not find my reservation. I waited about 20-30mins just for them to find my res. I was even informed by one of the managers(i think he was a mgr due to his attire) not to book with travelbook and book it directly with them instead and they will give me discount that I am getting with TB. Overall I am still happy with this hotel. There might be some problem/issue you might encounter with them but they are doing a lot of improvements to satisfy every customer. Read moreI booked two nights in the Aurora branch. And here are my experiences at Sogo Hotel.
We transferred thrice to different rooms due to;
The first room (executive room) was stinky and dirty, and the AC is not cooling properly. The second room we transferred to was better than the first one, but the AC remote control is not working well and the AC fan was too noisy. So, we transferred again to the other room. Finally, we found the room that suited us to what we paid for. At last, I start sleeping at 2 am after the exhausting journey and room transferring.
3 things need improvement in the Aurora branch.
Clean and mop the floor, and spray an air freshener in the room to assure that when the guest enters the room it smells fresh. Check and inspect the AC, bathroom, and other facilities before accommodating guests. Be sure that the hotel hallways smell fresh. It was stinky and the carpet seems old and not well vacuumed.
