We've been living in Kraków for years without any bad experience, but then we decided to take a ride on the Krakow eye. Today we had a lovely weather, however it turned very bad just when we purchased the tickets and sit in the cabin of the Krakow eye. It was so bad that after waiting for a few minutes, the staff opened the cabin doors and let us go with a short explanation in Polish we didn't really understand. There was no time for translation and so, we had to run to the neareast crossing tunnel, so we could be safe. The wind and the ice in the rain actually made the big Balloon explode which was next to the Krakow eye, it was overwhelming.
After the storm was gone, we went back and tried to get back our money or at least get a voucher, so we could ride later.
There was no one at all speaking in English, I tried my best in Polish, and they told me, they cannot give back the money, the machine is broken...we can ride now (but they did not seem too sure about that eiter) or later. I explained them again in Polish, that we cannot come back later and actually we were totally WET, we wanted a return of our money and go back home and be safe. The lady "attending" us was rude and the rest of the staff didn't care about us at all. They let us wait there without any comment or help, we couldn't ride at the end and we paid 90 zł (30 zł / person) for nothing.....thank you for this experience. We won't...
