I chose this hostel because it's in the very center of Wrocław, while offering very affordable prices.
However, once you enter the hostel, it becomes obvious why their prices are so "affordable." You don't feel like in a HOSTEL but rather like in a HOSPITAL.
Both guest rooms and common rooms are sterile to a degree that I've never come across in a hostel. There is absolutely no decoration on the walls--absolutely nothing. You won't even find the login data for the hostel's internet--not even that is hanging on the walls. If you forgot to take the login data at check-in, you'll have to run down to reception.
The kitchen features some extremely uncomfortable wooden chairs and tables that don't invite you to sit down. (Not astonishingly, I only saw one guest sitting in the kitchen during the entire time.)
Even though there is a kitchen, there is no possibility to cook. There's a water kettle and a microwave, but apart from that, there's no way to prepare your own food.
No sink in the kitchen either. If you want to wash the dishes or your food, you have to go to the toilets where you'll find a sink. (Not only unpractical but also quite appalling.)
Communication with the receptionists in English had it's difficulties, but was possible. The day I checked out, there was some very unfriendly emo type of girl at the reception (the one with the curly black hair that already got mentioned a couple of times in the reviews 😉).
Altogether, the hostel spread a very sterile, uncommodating atmosphere. It was the only one around the market square that wasn't fully booked in high season--and my above described impression is probably the...
Read moreI recently stayed at Hotel Krasnal and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. The room I was assigned was far from clean; there were visible stains on the carpet and an unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my stay. The bathroom fixtures were outdated and not functioning properly, with a leaky faucet and a shower that barely had any water pressure.
The service at Hotel Krasnal was equally subpar. When I brought up my concerns about the room's cleanliness and the bathroom issues, the staff was unresponsive and unhelpful. My requests for assistance were either ignored or met with indifference. Additionally, the overall maintenance of the hotel seemed neglected, with common areas looking shabby and poorly maintained.
Despite the hotel's central location, which was one of the main reasons for my booking, the negative aspects of my stay far outweighed any convenience it offered. I would not recommend Hotel Krasnal to anyone seeking a comfortable and pleasant stay. There are far better options available in the area that offer superior cleanliness, better-maintained facilities, and more...
Read moreI don’t know where all the good reviews of this place came from but it’s literally the worst hostel ever. Even though it says no smoking the place stinks of cigarettes in the bathrooms and in the hallways. The beds were rock hard, itchy and the springs were super loud every time you moved an inch so was impossible to sleep. The curtain in our room was also half ripped off the wall so all the light from the street lamps outside was pouring in. Everyone I came across staying in this hostel were scruffy middle aged men by themselves - DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE A WOMAN TRAVELLING BY YOURSELF. The listing said there was a fridge in our room - there wasn’t and the fridge on our level was broken. The ‘kitchenette’ consists of a microwave, one bowl and a plastic spoon. General vibe of the hostel is really creepy - there are metal bars on the reception area and you have to walk through 10 doors to get to your room. It feels like an old hospital or mental asylum. It’s not worth saving your money, do yourself a massive favour and stay...
