Appalling appalling and appalling again!
Grimy and grubby. Started by ordering potato pancakes with goulash. Told it would be two hours! 😂😂😂. Who has something on a menu like this and then says it will be two hours? Are they going to grow and pick the potatoes? So we went for the grilled sausage and fries - told it would be 30 minutes. We never found out. They brought us the lard and gherkins with bread but no side plates. We asked for some. Dumped on the table with petulance. Then the beer arrived. I’ve drank many craft beers all round Europe so know what to expect from a cloudy wheat beer. What turned up was obviously from the top of a new barrel that needed to settle or get to the right temperature. Whatever, it looked like a cross between a latte and a caramel milk shake. Dreadful. And so it begins…we raise the issue politely and all forms of condescension begin. Do you know how craft beers are prepared etc…on and on, it’s supposed to be cloudy, well yes, but at least opaque. This was like the bottom of a muddy lake. Not the simple act of sorry we will pour you another. Condescending and rude with no care for their product or image at all. I explained that I’d actually had the beer before and it was nothing like this. We were already 35 minutes into our wait for sausages that can be grilled in 10 minutes so just got up and left this ridiculous excuse for a place to enjoy beer and food. I’d also add that of all the speciality seasonal beers on the menu, only one was available! 😂 Stay away. Run by unprofessional adolescents with no sense of any managerial overview. There are plenty of good places to eat and drink beer in Wrocław. The staff are at best incompetent. It could be a lack of training, but this is no excuse for rudeness and condescension. STAY AWAY. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! (Interesting to note that most of the positive feedback on Google is from local guides). I’d give no star if I could. Puts you...
Read moreWe came in, had to take the menus ourselves and ask to order because no one came to take it. We ordered two bacon soups, one goulash, a burger, schnizel, two still waters, one orange juice and some salad. The food came almost cold and it was either bland or extremely salty. The orange juice was watered down, the goulash soup wasn't edible and way too salty. The burger was flavourless and fries too salty. We got only one bacon soup and it had a piece of WIRE in it. We asked where is the other soup is. It came 10 minutes later almost boiling. Before this we had mentioned that we were in a bit of a rush. I asked for the waitress to come because of the wire that i found in my soup and she said "Oh that is bad.. I'm new". A few minutes later she said they made it free. By this time the vibe was really off and we were just so bumbed about it. We asked for the bill 3 times before we had to come inside and get it ourselves. Which was just unacceptable as it wasn't busy at all or understaffed. We split the bill and paid by card. My friend had mentioned that she wants to pay for the juice, burger, schnizel, salad and water. My other friend said that she will pay for the bacon soup. Before paying she asked again "This is just for the bacon soup, right?". The waitress said yes. We left and as we were walking away my friend saw the she payed 36 euros for soup which was 8 euros!! We came back very angry and asked for the manager. They said they can't do anything about it and they just got mixed up and they were "sorry". The waitress herself was completely unbothered. We did not get our money back or got some sort of compensasion. Moral of the story, do not come here it is a...
Read moreUnfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. The service was among the worst we’ve ever experienced. We waited over 10 minutes for the menu, but it never arrived – we had to get it ourselves. The waitress never came to our table, so we had to place the order on our own initiative.
The food also failed to meet expectations – in one soup, we found a piece of wire (!), the other soup was served cold and was extremely salty. One of the soups was completely forgotten and never brought to the table. When we wanted to ask for the bill, we again had to look for the waitress – she promised to bring it, but after waiting about 15 minutes, we had to go to the counter ourselves.
We asked for two separate bills. One was supposed to include a burger, soup, schnitzel, and water; the other – just one soup. Unfortunately, even that wasn’t processed correctly – the girl was charged €36 for a single soup! We only noticed this after leaving the restaurant. When we returned, we were told the absurd explanation that “everything is fine” because “the girl paid for all of us.” At that point, we had neither the time nor the patience to argue further.
The overall impression was very bad. The waitress was clearly unfit for the job and couldn’t speak English at all, which is a serious issue for...
