LAB Terrace - Sunset Bar — Restaurant in Faro

Beautiful sun terrace with a fantastic view over the lagoon and those little grassy islands around Faro. The scenery is truly stunning, especially at sunset 🌅

Prices are absolutely fair - a glass of white wine is around €5 and really pleasant to drink. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right away.

Two small points of criticism:

First, there aren’t really any proper snacks to go with the drinks. I definitely missed some small tapas, or peanuts, or maybe something warm or even just a portion of fries - anything to nibble on while enjoying the drinks.

Second, the music selection could be a lot more stylish. The place would be perfect for some laid-back synthwave, poolside vibes like Flamingosis or Kraak & Smaak, or even cool Portuguese or Brazilian tunes like Gilberto Gil or Jovem Dionisio - Instead, the playlist was more of a “boring mainstream pop” mix with Ed Sheeran & Co., which doesn’t quite match the otherwise great atmosphere. 🎶🎹

Waited at the bar for 20 minutes (atleast) to be served and for some reason the bartenders weren’t going by order or had any system on serving, they just ignored me and a few others customers who left without being served.

It was blatantly obvious a few of us had waited a while, but the bartenders served other people who had come much later on.

Won’t be recommending or going here again, due to the poor service.

Also very busy, couldn’t find a place to sit.

View is good, but similar views you can get down the road

Reading the comments below and the owners reply - it appears they prioritise the natives more than the tourists - this makes sense, as me and the others who left...

We had a lovely time at LAB Terrace – the atmosphere is modern, relaxed, and perfect for catching the sunset over Faro. The view is definitely the highlight, especially with a drink in hand. Cocktails were creative and well presented, and the music added to the chill rooftop vibe without being too loud.

Service was friendly, although it took a bit of time for our order to arrive – not a dealbreaker, but something to note. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but fair considering the location and setting.
