this hotel was a great surprise! i had a 20 hour connection between flights so instead of staying at the airport and spend a lot in lounges, i decided to go to the ibis hotel to at least get some rest. the location is superb, and close to the hotel (literally a 4min walk) you get to the vasco da gama mall, where you can find everything: it’s a really good selection of stores. the accommodation was actually better than some four stars hotels i’ve been. nice comfortable bed, decent wifi connection, good shower and bathroom. they even provide beverages, slippers and a robe, so that was nice. what i particularly liked was the decor: very modern, minimalist and still nice and cozy.

It is the standard Ibis hotel, similar rooms and furniture as in many other places of the world. Conveniently located near to the main train station with metro access and quick and frequent transport to or from the airport, only a few minutes walk away. There is also a large mall with multiple food outlets available in connection to the station. The downside with this hotel would be the staff who had the night shift in the early morning when I was checking out, he either was very tired or totally uninterested in his job. Not a single word of good morning, thank you or good bye in response, just some angry looks when I came to check out…

Atendimento amigável e eficiente. Muito bem localizado, a 3,5 Km do aeroporto e perto da esplanada do parque das nações, onde há muitos restaurantes. Quarto com bom espaço. Banheiro e chuveiro limpos e funcionaram bem. Arredores silenciosos e seguros. Bom café da manhã, boa variedade de alimentos e bom sabor. Wi fi funcionou bem. Cama e travesseiros confortáveis. Preço bom para hospedagem.
