One of the nicest Ibis hotels I’ve stayed at. It is trendy and quirky with Portuguese flair - all at the same time.
The bar and common areas on the ground floor felt welcoming unlike most Ibis chains, and the staff were really friendly and personable. The interior decoration and vibe in this section provides a central gathering space for travellers alike. The wait staff were really lovely and chatty which was great for a solo traveller like myself.
Was lucky enough to be upgraded to the superior room. Although still the typical squishy Ibis size, having comforts such as the coffee machine, robes, slippers and water made a difference. Interior decoration is swanky and definitely a few steps up than your typical Ibis room.
I loved the bathroom. It was compact but well thought out, so it felt roomy. The mirror back lighting and modular design really enhanced the space.
A wonderful Ibis with all the comforts. Well priced for what you get. The location is a 5 minute walk from the Oriente Station which is a 10-15 min train ride to the airport and accessible for inter regional trains to the Algarve or Porto.
Across the road on the promenade are a great selection of restaurants ranging from Portuguese to Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Irish Pub to...
Read moreWe were in Lisbon because we missed a connecting flight to Madrid and arrived after midnight, the staff were kind and helpful. ||The next day the massive power outage that affected, Spain, Portugal and parts of France ocurred.||My husband really appreciated the management and staff of the Ibis Hotel in Lisbon for their great service and assistance during our stay from April 28 – 1 May, during this very challenging time for Lisbon. ||We were fortunate that the hotel had a generator, however, the staff had to accompany guests to their rooms to open them as the keycards were not working. Read moreHotel and room are very compact and comfy. My room (#102) was clean and hygienic. Hotel is very near to the airport, so I didn't have to hurry on the day of my departure. Biggest mall, Vasco Da Gama is just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel, and it was a very pleasant walk. One can also visit riverside and cable car from hotel within 10-minute walking distance. TelePizza, one of the local pizza chains is 2-minute walking distance. If you are travelling with kids, there is a MARVEL WALL with Murrels and wall paintings of Marvel cinematic universe. Breakfast was ok with limited variety every day. They could change the menu a bit, I believe. Pricing was perfect to my budget. |The two things I would suggest would be: One, TV should have been connected to internet with at least YOUTUBE running as on the last day of my stay, it was raining, and I was in my room for almost half day. Second, the staff was helpful and courteous but without any smile on their faces. They should smile...
