The Portuguese Starbucks! Have been here, and several of the locations, lots of times, had many of their products and have always been satisfied. The pão de deus is incredible and would recommend every time. The lovely part of this place is the consistency. Every time you go here, you know exactly what you're going to get. The coffees are good, and they have a large selection of pastries and sandwiches. I would recommend going for the breakfast menu, which includes a coffee, juice, and simple sandwich, at only four euros. While it can be a bit pricey in comparison to other pastelarias, the consistency of good quality food is definitely worth it.

This is gonna sound so messed up but I swear I went to Manteigaria, Pastei de Belem, and at least like 6 other bakeries. I was trying pastel de natas like my life depended on it and I know this is a bakery chain.... but I gotta say the pastel de nata I had from here is Top 2 pastel de natas - up there with pasteis de belem. There, I said it. I think it's because they sprinkle sugar on top of the crust or something, but the extra textural element that it gives the pastel de nata has just been living in my brain rent-free. Custard had a good richness too, just a really solid pastel de nata.

A pleasant bakery and cafe in one of the main streets of Expo. You can visit for a coffee, sweet snack or even breakfast. The interior is cosy and there’s plenty of room upstairs so you will always find a free table. The music playing was quiet enough to disturb conversation and good to listen to. What could be improved is the speed of cleaning tables and replenishment of supplies; when I wanted to order black tea, they had only decaf, which didn’t taste good at all.

Although the food was good, as in any of the Padaria Portuguesa places, the service was not so nice: we ordered the breakfast menu which comes with scrambled eggs, toasted bread, orange juice and coffee, and were asked if we wanted the coffee together with the rest of our food or after. We asked for it together with everything but when the food came to the table, the coffees were missing and when we went to ask for them at the counter, we were asked for the receipt, which we had already thrown away in the bin next to the counter. It was not the same person whom we had made our order to, so he didn't trust us and wouldn't give us our coffees, and didn't even bother asking his colleague if we had indeed made that order. We had to rumble through the trash bin to find our receipt and finally got our coffees. Not even a 'sorry' or any kind word after that. We didn't feel welcome at all. Plus the toilets were dirty, although we came early in the morning. Seems like it hadn't been cleaned from the...
