Interesting Old museum with a range of old planes (MIG's) from WW2 (and not only) that needs a larger place for a proper exibition of those. We have a history also in aviation and we need to share this with the people. I just found out, visiting the museum, that we had women's in aviation and mens that were pioneers frying a certain type of plane. Why this is not shared in local news..?!? This museum is also not known to the public. It's not so great as the museums in other countries but he exists and needs investments to continue to exist. The planes from outside area are left to die, needs a little paint. They are lovely to see, and must confess that i didn't saw those in other museums from around the world. Some new helicopters outside that we see also at Bias. Worth to mention that some of the explanations are also in english. What is inside hangar needs english translation, because the info is very interesting, explaining a day in live of an aviator. It will help if the museum would have some interactive parts..maybe leave the simulators to be touched and tried by the public. Also, not only the planes needs explanation, you can add other interesting facts, stories from the military and...

Verey nice and well provided museum, relatively to most important of the flying objects and equipments, that served for Romanian Air Forces in the second half of 1900 and not only. It will be some interesting experience for any technical, military or history enthusiast or professional staff. The museum are including two sections, (in and out) that spreads on huge area. Are presented here entire military aircrafts, that you can touch and observe closely, entirely racket complexes and so on. Also, the in side section are including an exhibition of Romanian air history from the origins, were you can watch and study the Romanian contribution to aircraft development (surprisingly greats) . Here you will find a model of the first jet engine ever ( H. Coandă 1905), some of Vuia models, disassembled jet and propelled engines, etc. The museum are children friendly due to the wide area, and it is located in the interior of the Institute for Jet Fuel Test and Research. The ticket price are approx 3 EUR, and some of the guidance personal are retired military that will tell real life story about the...

You can see here helicopters, fighter jets and old memorabilia connected to aviation history. There are 2 large hangars in which the exhibits are well kept, the stuff that is kept outside could use a new repainting. You can easily spend an hour or two here. Worth a visit if you can get there, it's a bit off the beaten track for tourists. This time off the year it's open from 9 to 15:30 with 14:30 last entry. Tickets cost 10 Ron for adults and half for children, the soldier at the gate said my daughter could enter free of charge.

A snapshot of the Romanian Air Force history, the museum features many types of aircraft, some of them unique. The actual location does not allow for large aircraft to be brought and displayed, which is a pitty. The museum needs a major restoration program and maybe that will include a large aircraft secion, located on one of the major airports in Bucharest. The wooden church is underwhelming. Definitely the museum is worth visiting.
