Hotel Caro — Hotel in Bucharest

This is our second time in this hotel. We chose a room we had already been to. 343 The room was not ready for check-in, the tea was not replenished. There was no robe or set of towels for the second companion. In the corridor near the closet under the ceiling there is an insect cocoon. Hot water needs to wait 5 minutes. The last time we were in the summer, we didn’t have this problem. The staff are friendly and try to help, but due to an error by one of the team members, our room was not ready. Parking costs 10 euros per day, which is clearly overpriced. The spa is no longer the same, someone swims in the pool without a cap, they go into the hammam without slippers, which is of course not safe.

Family stay with small children. Mirror TV was useless. Only channel in English was news and can't cast to the TV. Lighting is difficult to manage with the switches not making much sense. For 2 adults and 2 small children there is not much space. The pool is not suitable for children, more of a fitness pool. There is a tiny not maintained playground. Breakfast was great, lots of options at the buffet. Did get an iron from reception dropped up to the room, it had exposed copper wires. Returned it and got another iron with exposed wires!!! When I complained I was dismissed. Had dinner in the only restaurant open besides the wine bar and it was cold and disappointing. The wine bar staff were great. I stayed here twice. Once in a premium room, once in a standard room. The difference in price between the two is not big, but the difference in quality is very big. My first impression was a very good one, because I stayed in the premium room first, very comfy, clean, nice. The standard room, I am not judging the looks, because I usually value confort over looks, but it was not confortable. Very noisy / squicky bad, bad pillows. Although I left the change sheets card on the bed, they did not change them. Only in the first day I found a bottle of water in my room, the next nights not. I found this inacceptabile for a 4 stars hotel asking for 120 to 150 euros per night ( with breakfast included).
