We visited the Bratislava Christmas. Market and came across several different stands ran by Papillion. We had our 1st snack, the Loaded French Fries topped w/melted cheese, perfectly fried bacon chunks, and plenty of special creamy topping, garnished with chives. It filled us up {one for two foodies that wanted to to toast everything). It was a large portion and tasted amazing. Four thumb up for us! At the end of our evening, we luckily came across the deserts stand. OMG... Not what a diet needs 😆... We took a sample of of almost a everything. The Double Chocolate Brownie with creamy caramel dripped in chocolate with a sprinkle of peanut was (how can I say this without getting flagged?)... A mouth watering explosions of the best treat I've ever had. All the treats were perfect, but this was the ricing on. The cake! We returned Saturdays two weeks later and again, tried it end we saved for our second visit. We got two of the brownie to go! The staff awesome. A special thank you to the sweets young woman that explained to everything so well in English to us so we could make the absolute most perfect choice. She smoked and remember us from two weeks prior. We run a street food business and know that you can't remember everyone, but she rembered us and calls us the Foodtruck couple. Thank you agsin for everything * IG : @lumberjacks_shack (huge change to come) i Hope to meet the rest...
Read moreWe were excited to visit the butterfly house as a special treat for my daughter who is having her first experience visiting her home land. Her father is Slovakian. The lady on the front desk cornered us while we were sat relaxed with no butterfly in contact with us. She blamed us and spoke to us in public in a scolding manner that made the experience hurtful and shameful. When the butterfly lands on you it is impossible not to touch them. More direction is needed with young children as to the rules for interacting as the photos and videos in the advertisements show the butterfly on the hands of the child. If a butterfly is dead in the floor a child will try to “ help” it. The child should not be blamed for an already dead butterfly . And what should one do when the butterfly refuses to get off your foot for a long time considering children have shorter attention spans the rule of absolute no contact is not realistic for children under 8. My daughter says:The butterfly need more space and most of them are just dying not because of children but because they don’t have enough space food and care and some of them didn’t look so happy and healthy.🦋🥺😟.I loved seeing all the cocoons and butterflies flying around but it felt weird seeing them in a different environment with no flowers 🌸 and trees 🌲...
Read moreWe really didn't have much expectations going in, but we left saddened. We were told by the employees at the register to not touch the butterflies, unless ofcourse they landed on us. There were multiple families with small kids running around, trying to catch the butterflies, both kids AND parents. Picking up the butterflies forcefully and throwing them into the food bowls once they were done with them. We saw multiple butterflies getting hurt. There's no supervision once inside the butterfly room, no employee checking if the rules we were given were followed. That should change. My heart hurts thinking about the fact that this probably happens every day and the butterflies are just stuck there. We will not be visiting again and won't recommend. Don't be like those families when you visit, please. Admire...
