Where to start?
I understand it is mostly a bar, but since there is a vast selection of meals, I'd expect to be able to sit comfortably with the meal I order. That would be possible if I could see everything on the table. That being said, the light was insufficient for eating, since I had problems with really seeing what I was eating.
It is unacceptable for a customer to wait for 2 meals 40 minutes on a Thursday night. I have had ribs in other restaurants that were way more busy at a given time and I never had to wait for more than 10 minutes. Now, how is it possible to wait 40 minutes for 2 portions of ribs? The place was not even remotely full, I'd say maybe around 2/5 of its capacity.
The food was of average quality at best. Ribs were cooked well, but had no real unique taste.
Service was not terrible but definitely needs improvement. Problems with communication and comprehension of simple orders worsened the experience even more.
Problems with loyalty system. Prior to the visit, I have received an email with a nice offer. One of the two ordered main meals was for free. The problem arose when we wanted to pay and use the bill. Not only was the system not working, the manager was not available anywhere and another 20 minutes passed by till we were able to finally pay for the bill and leave.
After Primi under Michael's gate, this is another Medusa Group's restaurant which I will avoid...
Read moreSo here is the thing it's hard sometimes unposible to rank place like Barrok, cos it's that kind of place where you going to finish your miserable night out because everyone wants to go home but it's just you and your other 3 friends from the whole group trying to prove that we are man and we drink like there is no tommorow. So where you are going to go at 4am well it's Barrok. So what I remember is that waiters we awesome and trained for a drunk guy. There was however a lots of smoke from the cigarettes, guessing from the smell of me shirt. I'm still not really clear what really happened but I'm taking one point down cos they have a DJ there .... Yep in these times there are few around not replaced by Spotify so and this DJ was like not oooh I'm not having any song from "The Who" .. we we're like not even BaBa O'Riley? SAD one 🌟 down and maybe let's think to replace those 50 years old rock DJs with Spotify or CD or some rock radio or...
Read moreStrávili sme v Barrocku Silvester 2014 a som sklamaný. V nefajčiarskej časti, kde sme mali rezerváciu, bola neskutočná zima, taká, že nielen my, ale aj ostatní hostia v tejto časti si naobliekali kabáty. Majiteľ sa asi spoliehal na to, že 31. decembra budú vonku tropické horúčavy a nebude potrebné vykurovanie. Po sťažnostiach nám ponúkli prechod do teplejšej fajčiarskej časti, čo sme (aj napriek tomu, že sme boli všetci nefajčiari), premrznutí z radosťou prijali. Len dodám, že platenú rezerváciu miest sme mali podľa môjho názoru v dostatočnom predstihu, najmenej dva týždne vopred, nie je teda možné hovoriť o tom, že by sme našim neočakávaným príchodom prekvapili. Je známou vecou, že ak je v podniku nahlas muzika, tak hostia môžu o to menej hovoriť, a preto o to viac konzumujú. Zároveň je ale maximálna vychytralosť (svinstvo), keď to majiteľ akéhokoľvek podniku využíva. A využili to aj v Barrocku, kde hneď od deviatej tak jačala muzika, že bolo sotva počuť vlastného slova, a to pritom nehral DJ, ani sa ešte v tej dobe nekonala nejaká diskotéka...ľudia sa ešte len zbiehali a večerali predobjednané menu, nebolo dôvodu, prečo kompletne prehlušiť hostí hudbou. Potom ma dojímalo, keď mi čašníčka na opakovanú žiadosť, aby to stíšili tak, aby sme sa počuli, zaklamala, že už to "viac stíšiť nejde"... Už len kvôli tejto vychytralosti majiteľov Barrock nikdy viac, hlavne nikdy nie na Silvestra. Nemôžem si pomôcť, ale za 35€ by človek čakal lepšie "štvrochodové menu". Prvý chod: paštéta s chlebom a brusnicovou omáčkou. Paštéta bola celkom fajn, avšak päť malých kvapiek brusnicovej omáčky mi prišlo jaksi...neadekvátnych, skôr na zašpinenie taniera. Druhý chod, hovädzia polievka, bola vyslovená hrôza, vývar bol ochutený leda tak zázvorom, ostatné dochucovadlá akosi chýbali. Tretí chod, tuším jahňacie, bol tiež priemerný. "Hviezdou večera" bol štvrtý chod, čokoladová pena s lesným ovocím, ktorá bola v porovnaní so zvyškom nadpriemerná. Ako celok sa táto večera dá hodnotiť ako podpriemer, určite nie hodný svojej ceny.
...nech len nekydám, servis bol dobrý, rýchly, ochotný.
V skratke: podpriemerné jedlo, ktoré nebolo hodné svojej ceny nedostatočná organizácia zbytočný hluk a neochota majiteľa/vedúceho to riešiť vysoké cený za akékoľvek pitie (to si môže každý sám overiť na web stránke Barrocku) dobrý, ochotný a pomerne...
