LOCLUB - Food & Music — Restaurant in Bratislava

Pictures of the food shown at the street sign looked inviting. The staff was unenthusiastic when I asked about seating. I got quick initial service for ordering and drinks.

The starter was delayed and served together with the main course. The main course order was mixed up and sent back. Food was decent though required some extra spices.

When paying I was informed that service was "not included in the price" and that they added 15%. I accepted, assuming that I had missed some information on the menu or it was standard in Bratislava or even Slovakia. However, over the few days of my stay in the city I didn't experience this in any other restaurants. I also went back and checked the menu again but there was no information about it. So, I can only assume it was a forced tip - a way to dupe a naive tourist assuming they wouldn't come back. Well, I won't. Perhaps I was too nice in not directly complaining about the mess ups but instead kept a positive attitude, understanding that errors happen in the rush (though it wasn't crowded). This "weakness" led to me being ripped off. Ironically, it was the place I visited in the city least worthy of a tip but the only one to bring up anything like it themselves. The service is terrible! The waiter is very confused, several times he brought us the wrong food we ordered. The food is smelly, not a pleasant smell. The meat was not fresh, not cooked and constantly crunched in my teeth. The tables are sticky, the whole place is not clean. The doors to the toilets do not close. They wanted to trick us on 11 euros, they took 6 euros for service, they justify it by saying that they do it in America for just sitting at the table, but we remind them that we are in Europe and people decide whether or not to tip. We had a pinocollada (non-alcoholic) but they counted it as an alcoholic drink +5 euros. When asked how this amount worked out, the waiter said: "Oh, sorry, I looked wrong". Before leaving the restaurant, we saw several other disgruntled people who didn't understand why their bill came out to that amount. Be careful before you go out. In general, I do not recommend this place! But if you want to waste your time getting it counted and spit on your plate, go for it....

We went there and they said that if we wanted to eat we had to wait 50 MINUTES because they “had too much work” ! UNACCEPTABLE AND UNBELIEVABLE!

The waiter was also rude and I believe was “enjoying” his triumph on the waiting time.

Don’t go there !!!! Ever !!!!

• UPDATE IT IS NOT TRUE THAT THEY SAID 15MIN BECAUSE THE WAITER SAID "FIFTY, FIVE, ZERO" WHILE INDICATING 5 AND 0 WITH HIS HANDS.

SO NO, I DO NOT ACCEPT YOUR EXPLAINATIONS AND STILL RECOMMEND EVERYBODY TO NOT GO THERE EVER AGAIN!!!!!

UPDATE Just read this. Well, no one expects sitting and having fresh food instantly, yet 50 minutes was not optimal. I am just describing my experience, and I do not believe there is reason to get patriotic and rude. Because, I described my experience, yet I did never insult any of you publicly. Your behaviour is unacceptable.
