We visited the Island on 25 April in the afternoon. The prices in the small marinas were not displayed, only the information on the departure times. Tickets for the small boats cost 18 EUR (round trip) and 14 EUR (one-way!)for the e-boat that runs from Bled city center. Pay attention when taking a boat: they assume that you will spend 40-45 minutes on the island and return with the same boat. We wanted to return from the island to the city center by the e-boat and the driver refused to take us on board given the fact that we took the other boat earlier. There is no information at all available/displayed on the use of the boats - electric or other - so we would suggest to improve in this regard. Only thanks to a nice rower from Pletna we could get back from the island (the boat’s name was Ela). He was the only person to explain us how the system works and spoke decent English. The island itself is amazing given the location, here I am rating the service that must be more customer-friendly. Suggestion: Put out a sign with the relevant info on it so people could read it…do not ruin this place with such...
Read moreToday 24/07/25, I had a very unpleasant experience with a boat rider at this location. My friends and I rented a small boat — it was our first time, so we were still learning how to control it. At one point, a white old man wearing a red t-shirt was riding his red boat and came close to us. As we were about to collide (accidentally), we apologized and told him we were trying our best to control the boat.
Instead of being understanding, he started shouting aggressively at us, saying “Sorry isn’t enough!” even though we were clearly beginners and already said sorry. He could have simply changed his direction to avoid us, but instead chose to yell and make the situation worse. Even the costumers on his boat feeling awkward and smiling at us, try to help pulling our boat to another direction
He wasn’t just rude to us — he was shouting at everyone near his boat and even at people who were just sitting peacefully by the shore. It really ruined the atmosphere and made us...
Read moreBefore trying I asked for details: They said: 15mins peddle towards the island there you can spend 40min and then 15min back. All this for € 15,- per person. Ok fine by us deal. On the way back the guy who peddles asked us if he could bring us to another port (400m walking distance away from the port) so he could pick up another group. This ment we had 5 till 10 minutes less experience then we paid for but ok. After he dropped us off we stayed at the dock for some sightseeing noticing that the guy was not in a hurry or had to pick up another group fast and stayed on the island for another 30mins. So it was just a lie or excuse to not peddle us back to the...
