First of all, we had a really nice evening here. However, the food and service was unfortunately not at all worth the price (we paid ~150€ per person). The atmosphere and views are super beautiful.
The food is good but absolutely not on this price level. You can chose either 4 or 5 dishes and we did one 5 and one 4-course menu plus wine pairing. The main and dessert were really good, but the various starter/ in between dishes were average. Also what they call „greeting from the kitchen“ was bread and butter, and the bread was so stale you could hardly rip it apart and then it was dry and hard to chew in your mouth.
Lastly, it seems we got unlucky with our waiter. He was inexperienced it seems, which again might have been fine at a normal priced restaurant but not here. Food came before the wine pairing, we were missing cutlery, and there was hardly any explanation of the wines, which is sad if you chose a pairing. We did mention this to the owner, and it improved a lot after, but still not what you expect for this price.
We were really excited about this place based on the previous reviews, but were quite disappointed. Still it is located in a beautiful setting, just don’t expect to get food and service for the price you pay. I’m also suspecting the previous reviews might have been mainly by Americans, but not sure what...
Read moreUnfortunately the rate is invalid, it misled us. The restaurant wants to sell it self as a high end place culinary experience, but it is the opposite of it. We booked a table with a view ot the lake of Bled, we did no see a single centimeter of the lake. Amateur service was the first of all what we have to suffer. The price is extraordinary high but we can't get anything for it. 208eur for waiting for every course, wines, drinks. Ridiculous. The waiter forgets everything like bring the knife and wine beside the meal, mixed the different wines in the same glass. We had to choose among 3 white wine. There was no printed menu, because they couldn't manage to print it. We couldn't buy a bottle of wine, but we was lucky because we had an offer from him: half of bottle wine for price of 3 glasses. The top of dessert was Carte d'or ice cream. The summarize this place is a well covered overpriced avarage...
Read moreDelightfully delicious. My definition for 'Pop Up Dining - Adora'. Every dish lingers and softens the heart. The menu is thoughtful in its selection and caters to quite a few preferences. My highlights were the locally inspired dishes though. They surprised me. Not just the exquisite taste, or delightful simplicity, but the charming memories some evoked. The suggested pairings also show the care with which Chef Domen Demšar chooses his dishes. Those around him understand this attention to detail, and demonstrate it through an excellent service. The perfectly placed Adora only adds to the experience. Exquisite dinner, amazing wines, and a serene view of Lake Bled at sunset. What more can one want?! I hope you get the chance to awaken beautiful memories and create a few new...
