Velika Zaka — Attraction in Bled

This is the place to go if you want a nice "beach day" by the lake. There are shops for coffee, ice cream, and food. There is also a small market on site with other options for food and drink. The parking is reasonably priced but park your car carefully...the attendant politely let me know I did a bad job and I had to adjust. There seemed to be some family-friendly activities behind the food area but I did not use them.

The beach is stony but shallow for quite a distance so your small kids can play safely. There is no swim "area" but rather the entire area is open for swimming. Also, there is a kayak/rowboat/SUP rental there. Don't pay to swim at Lake Bled. This location has everything you will need.

The spot gets a 5 for the beach and views but our experience gets a 0 thanks to one hostile, aggressive pletna boatsman. Apparently my wife and our 2 kids put our blanket under HIS tree where he has been parking his bike for 10 years. So he just parked his bike half on our blanket and shouted at us. My wife moved his bike off of it so he returned and, while shouting more, moved our stuff and then moved his bike back. He kept shouting and waving his finger in our faces telling us we are not normal. He could have easily explained that he was a boatsman and parks his bike at this tree and asked us to move a bit and there would have been zero issue. Instead he chose to immediately be aggressive and 2 or 3 times start shouting at us again. He...

We visited Lake Valika Zaka with family and were absolutely blown away by its natural beauty. The views are simply stunning — crystal-clear water, lush surroundings, and peaceful walking paths that made the whole experience unforgettable. The walk around the lake was dotted with water fountains and lovely spots to pause, sit, and soak it all in. Everyone we met along the way was friendly and polite, adding to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you could sit for hours just appreciating the tranquillity and scenery.
