We stayed at Camping Bled for 3 nights in April, in one of the glamping huts. We ate at the campsite restaurant 3 times, and every single time there was a problem.
The food is great, however the service leaves much to be desired. On day 1, the waitress taking our order refused to sell us tap water and insisted they didn't sell it. We later checked and "tap water" was clearly listed on the menu. On day 2, we were sitting down for 10 minutes without anyone handing us a menu. At this point we stood up and grabbed a menu for ourselves. We then waited another 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Additionally, we had to call the waiters 3 times to politely ask them to take our order before they actually remembered. The food then took an hour to arrive, because the waitress had forgotten to punch in our order. On day 3, we once again had to ask the waiters for a menu, and when we ordered dessert they forgot to bring one of our orders.
Additionally, the majority of the restaurant staff cannot speak English. I understand that English is not Slovenia's main language; however, when dealing with tourists I believe it is important to be able to understand the basics of a couple of very...
Read moreGreat location on the shores of Lake Bled with views of the island across from a nice beach. There is also a convenient parking lot next door. We decided to have dinner here after a drive around the lake and a stop to take some photos from the beach.
We were at Lake Bled in the middle of the week at the end of the day, and according to the local wait staff the number of tourists is still about half of what would have been expected at that time pre-covid. The roads didn't feel too crowded and we didn't have much trouble stopping to take photos of the incredibly picturesque area.
While I'm leery of restaurants in tourist areas, we decided to take a chance as the sun was setting and we were in a relaxed mood. We ordered the grilled octopus salad, a steak, and some of the local sea bass. The sea bass (branzino) was definitely the best of the three although you had to be careful to take out any bones. The steak was OK but nothing special, and the octopus was a generous portion and fairly good.
The view was fantastic and our waiter was friendly, attentive, and talkative. I'm giving this 4 stars for the combination of good food and...
Read moreDear owner of the Zaka establishment, as an entrepreneur and owner of a marketing agency, I am asking you to send your administrator and waiter for training in service and communication with guests.
I ordered a shrimp pizza and a cake to go, spending over 25€. The table was vacated. I decided to eat the order in terrace. The waiter asked me to leave. I'm at a loss. - Let me pay for the table service. - No, go away. I am shocked. I have never met such an attitude in a European city in 28 countries in which I traveled.
The administrator has arrived. Started kicking out. We asked for alternatives: 1. pay for the service, 2. bring us plates and cutlery. What was only rudeness, ridicule, mocking attitude.
Spoiled mood and impression of the beautiful town of Bled. Take action! Since your restaurant already has a lot of "1" ratings due to the education of the...
