Get Lost Coffee — Restaurant in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

Honestly the best coffee I have ever tasted, don’t even get me started on the cookies- absolutely delicious! We stumbled upon this beautiful coffee shop on the very first day of our holiday. Darren and Eliisa were super friendly and they became instant friends. We visited daily throughout our time in Franschhoek and then missed these guys (and their amazing speciality coffee) so much, we did a day trip from Cape Town to have one last cortado and another amazing chat. It’s hard to say bye to them.. they are honestly amazing people and put their heart and soul into this shop. We didn’t get a chance to try Eliisa’s cooking on Friday nights, but boy did it smell amazing! We had an absolutely brilliant start to our honeymoon and you guys played a massive part in that so thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality. Very poor service. Asked for ice coffee . Bad experience....4 Adult order our drinks... 1 coffee, 2 iced coffee's, 1 Coke Zero with a glass of ice plus a glass off water. Drinks being served by barista, after a while, without a tray. Some people around us left after no attention and also place an order and left because the poor service of the waiters. We had to asked how long our drink will be. Ice coffee being served.. Very watery no cream or ice cream. No Zero Coke, no ice in the glass. We asked for the coffee milkshake.. Reply sorry we are out of ice-cream and that was after 11:00 on a Friday morning. We also order 4 breakfasts with rooster koek, was more off a bun, beacon was so hard we had to eat it by hand. We are SA Citizens. What must all the overseas visitors think off this...

Service was slooooow. Not only the food service but every item required (cutlery, serviettes and the bill) took an age to deliver. The waitress stopped gathering orders after collecting from 5 out of the 8 of us at the table. We had to remind her to get the other 3. They got some orders wrong as well. The first person to order received her scrambled egg and salmon last!

There was also broken glass on one of the tables pushed together to accommodate the 8 of us. We alerted the waitress and 10 mins later I had to go into the building to determine whether it would be gathered and table wiped down of any shards.

Their service just seems to be a shambles.
