If you’re interested in alternative perspectives and off-the-beaten-path learning, this museum is for you. I came upon this museum by surprise. My siblings and I were playing a word game on the C33 bus. A gentleman started playing with us, which was nice of him, since we were probably being obnoxious. He got out a stop before the abadia de Sacromonte, and invited us to visit the museum. The museum was a lovely surprise. If you’re an influencer, and care about photos, the museum has one of the best views of the city, the Alhambra and of course Sacromonte. More importantly, the museum was founded by three young women, academics, who wanted to share their Roma heritage and history. This small museum showcases artifacts from the migration of Roma peoples from India to different parts of Europe and even Latinamerica. They also show cultural artifacts, customs and famous people when belonged to the Roma peoples. If you enjoy small jewels, off the beaten path, definitely visit. It was free, which is nice, but try to leave a donation- it’s important to preserve this part of history. Visiting this museum was one of my favorite experiences in Granada.

This is a fantastic little museum about the gypsies of Spain. Andrea, the guide is charming and very informative. The museum very effectively explains the history of oppression and the legal status of gypsies in Spain, and dispels many myths relating to flamenco.

It is a bit difficult to find at the moment as the sign has been broken, but basically you take the entrance to the Escuela Internacional de Flamenco Manolete and you will...
