Lovely local market in town. The local market vibes here were also on point with many restaurants and stalls selling various goodies. We had oysters at El Tarantín de Lucía and it was delicious. Our favourite was the Irish osyters which had a tang of natural creamy sweetness. Galician oysters were a little flat in comparison, with the taste of sea being too prominent. Oysters are freshly shucked and the lady operating the stall looks very passionate about oysters. We had specialty coffee here too and it was delicious though the milk could be less hot. But milk wasn’t burnt and the beans was a nice medium roast with chocolate and peanut notes. I’d rate the coffee here better than the popular Syra chains in town. The only weird thing about the market was that the washroom or WC required a passcode to use. You would need to request that from one of the stalls or restaurants. It’s meant for patrons at the local businesses to use.

Madrid has a lot of nice, chic and very original places all over the city, and this is one of those places. This market is right off the "Antòn Martin" metro station, it's a two stories filled with all type of vendors and products. You can find fruits, cheeses and all types of Iberic Hams, different kind of olives, fish and seafood, meats, produce. You can also find coffee shops, a few Japanese restaurants, a Mexican restaurant, Tapas and Wine, and much more. The place is very well organized and very inviting, with really good prices. You will enjoy the cute small spaces of all vendors. Highly recommended ✅

I have been here at the Mercado Anton Martin 3 days a week because I have the flamenco dancing class on the 3rd floor. And many times having the dinner after the class with friends. There are nice and resonable price of the restuarants, bars, fresh local products that you can purchase. If you are interested in the local dancing "Flamenco" you also can come to visit the "Amor de Dios Flamenco". This mercardo is still keeep the traditional structure and looks, so you can feel the local style of Madrid.

It is a market I specifically sought out. We arrived around 3pm on Sunday and I think this was a major error as a lot of meat and produce shops had already closed. I'm still not used to Spain schedule! We had some drinks as a lot of food stalls were still open. One Ramen place even had vegan options. Overall, I missed out because a lot of shops had already closed. I wish there was a way to include opening times for the vast majority of shops.

Ohhhh my! Now I’m a real fan of this extraordinary place! If I could I would eat everything there 🙈😄 I tried oysters at El Tarantín and I feel like I never tried them before. Lots of cafes and stores to eat and to drink there. Spirit and smell if a real market! Fish at Japanese kitchen restaurant Yoka Loka was so fresh like it has just jumped from the ocean. I will come back for sure! And extremely recommend this place ❤️

Very good selection of eateries, specialty food stores and even coffee/ pastry stores. They have the standard Spanish fare, fusion, Asian (SE Asian, Chinese and Japanese), Bagel sandwiches, Specialty Italian wines, Italian restaurants, arepas and more... Almost no tourists and mostly local patronage. Fish, shellfish, Maya, cured meats, Jamon everything you could imagine is in here. Bathrooms are also clean.
