When in Spain….. you just have to go to watch flamenco so when we went to Seville, we did just that.
In the City there are so many flamenco shows to choose from and most with very good reviews. However, after a a bit of homework, Tablao Flamenco Las Setas became our choice.
As per the name, this venue is at Las Setas, the huge wooden sculpture that is very well known in Seville. In fact, the flamenco venue is right underneath it.
This venue is very modern compared to some of the old traditional flamenco venues typically found in Spain and for some traditionalists, this may not suit them. However, although this venue is modern with a rather flash interior and bar area, this does not detract from the serious artistry and performance of the people who are on stage.
Our tickets were circa €35 each and that gave us front row seats and a complimentary drink. Unfortunately for us, our front row seats were also at the side of the stage so sadly, our view of the performance wasn’t great. That said, I guess someone has to sit in the seats to the side and on this occasion it was us. However, avoid the close up side on seats if you can.
The flamenco and overall performance by everyone was magnificent. A full on passionate performance full of Spanish gusto was played out to the audience for a good hour or so. This was a good as any previous flamenco I have seen before.
The staff and overall organisation in the venue was excellent. Very well run and very customer focused. This team was good and contributed to the experience.
Tablao Flamenco Las Setas proved to be a great choice and I would quite happily recommend this venue to anyone interested in flamenco especially when in Seville.

Read moreTablao Las Setas offers an exceptional flamenco experience right in the heart of Seville. Its prime location, nestled in the vibrant center of the city, makes it incredibly convenient for visitors. But it's not just the location that impresses; the venue itself exudes a sophisticated, cabaret-style ambiance. The intimate space, refined decor, and superb sound and lighting systems create the perfect atmosphere to truly appreciate the artists' performances.
What I particularly enjoyed was the thoughtful structure of the show, which featured both captivating solos and dynamic group pieces. This variety allowed for a deeper understanding of the diverse expressions within flamenco. The artists themselves are undeniably top-notch, their passion and skill radiating from the stage. They don't just perform; they connect, conveying the raw honesty that is the very essence of flamenco.
A true highlight of the evening was the performance of dancer Beatriz Rivero. Her mastery of the bata de cola and manton was simply awe-inspiring. She moved these traditional accessories with such fluidity and grace, it was as if they were extensions of her own body, creating mesmerizing visual poetry. Her skill and artistry truly embodied the spirit of flamenco.
If you're seeking an authentic and unforgettable flamenco experience in Seville, Tablao Las Setas is a must-see. The combination of its central location, intimate atmosphere, exceptional artists, and the sheer emotional power of the performances makes it a standout choice. Highly...
Read moreTLDR: Side facing seats which they charge at the same price as front facing seats. Go somewhere else / for free flamenco instead.
I chose this one as all the flamenco in Seville has great reviews, and a similar price, and this was the closest to my accommodation. I had heard of a free flamenco show at La Carbonaria, but choose this one, to make sure there was a great view, from a paid seat.
Unfortunately, even though it was €25 per person, we were given side seats, and this was not mentioned in the ticket prices. I think it's very dishonest of them to sell side tickets where you can't even see the show from. It seems that the only guarantee here for from facing seats is only with the more expensive tickets which include a drink for circa €10 more include from facing seats, which is not explained on the tickets and not fair for people who don't want to drink.
It also mentions on the ticket that the show is 90 mins long, but it is an hour, which is enough. I noticed they said in the other comments that they don't say the show is an hour - they do, on the 3rd party seller tickets, and I will upload proof if they write the same on the review.
My advice - visit another flamenco show : this one is right at the Mushrooms, so to one of the many others.
The entertainers and the dancers seemed talented - but as mentioned, I could only see everything from a side view, with the orientation of the show always towards the front.
Disappointing end to my...
