Bar La Marina — Restaurant in Torrevieja

If I could rate 0 stars I would.Do not go to bar la marine. The service is worse than terrible, there was no drinks on the menu and you were expected to order them as soon as you sat down. The food didn't come together as a table so by the time the rest of my family received their food mine was cold. All of the food was bland and the portion sizes weren't even reasonable for a child. For fish and chips you got a tiny piece of fish and not even a handful of chips with it. Overall it was disgusting and when we tried to explain calmly that the food was not up to anyone's standard, they started argue with us my family only took a bite out of it and they kept telling us we had to pay, I wouldn't even feed it to the stray cat hanging around. I went there today and was looking to have a small lunch, knew I wanted tapas so I asked for ensalada rusa and if they had ensalada murciana, which they did not have. So I asked the waiter what else they had and he said tortilla de patata ect. Long story short, he said Almejas Marinera was good, so he said half a portion would be sufficient. Little did I know the price was 11.80 for half a portion. Only found out the price when the bill was given. I was a little surprised as the price as there was around 10 Almejas. I felt they saw me coming and took advantage of me. It has not left a nice taste in my mouth. So ask for the prices as I felt they are payed for up selling and that's not nice. You catch me once...

Return visit to this place after remembering how nice the food was last year. This year the food did not disappoint but the customer service skills from one employee has made me never want to return there again. After bringing us two meals we had not ordered, granted they were changed and the waiter apologies. But then the original waitress stormed over questioning me and giving me nasty looks whilst in the company of my children. They were scared and intimidated by her.
