I visited Spa Ceylon boutique at Galle Road, Bambalapitiya it combines Ayurvedic wisdom with fine natural ingredients to offer a range of luxurious and aromatic beauty products and experiences. This boutique, styled with a serene and inviting aesthetic, reflect the brand's commitment to relaxation and wellness. The product range is extensive, catering to various skincare, haircare, and aromatherapy needs, and is renowned for its high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients. One of the standout aspects of Spa Ceylon is their dedication to sustainability and ethical practices, making them a favorite among environmentally conscious consumers. Their use of traditional herbs, spices, and essential oils, often indigenous to Sri Lanka, not only supports local communities but also ensures the authenticity and efficacy of their formulations. Customers often praise Spa Ceylon for the effectiveness of their products, noting improvements in skin texture, relaxation levels, and overall wellness. The signature scents, inspired by Sri Lankan heritage, offer a unique and luxurious sensory experience. However, as with any beauty brand, individual experiences can vary, and what works wonderfully for one person might not suit another as well. While Spa Ceylon products are on the pricier side, many find the quality and experience justify the cost. The beautifully designed vibrant packaging also makes their products popular gifts. For those interested in exploring natural and Ayurvedic beauty solutions, Spa Ceylon offers a compelling, high-quality option.

I tried the 90min ultimate body ritual. The facility is clean and very relaxing. The area for massage are individual rooms and not just curtain partitions so there is 100% privacy. They use a high bed and not a futon on the floor. They do not have a foot soak before the massage so better make sure your feet are clean. But they start the massage from head down to your feet, and they wash their hands if they need to move back to your head. They use too much oil compared to other types of massages, they even put oil on your hair. But they let you shower after the massage. Shower area is also inside your own massage room. Best part is you can get to try their products (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash), which is by the way good. No overpowering smells, just plain natural ingredients. Same with the oils they use for the massage. I suggest to bring change of clothes so you'll have clean clothes after you shower. They give you an herbal tea after the massage. Price is a bit high compared to other massages.

Spa Ceylon is a renowned place for massages and Ayurvedic products. Took the “Deep Tissue Massage”, it was a 90 minutes session that aims to relax and relieve muscle and joint pain. I do not think the pains were reduced, but the experience was very rejuvenating. The therapists are expert, they start with oil massage and then move on to hot compress which was healing. They maintain cleanliness and hygiene making the experience extraordinary. In the end, they offer you to take a shower where their products are kept. Each room equipped with the facilities. I liked the conditioner so much that I got myself a bottle. If you visit Sri-lanka, this is worth experiencing once!

Went in for our treatment to Bambalapitiya at around 7:45pm. We were eager to get a 90 min Ultimate foot massage because a 60 min didn’t make sense. When we went in to the room, the airconditioner was not working and the gentleman in front at the counter came and asked us to go to another room and that we would receive a 60 minute fully body instead since it was their error. Walking downstairs to the main area again, asked at that point if it were a 90 minute could I pay the difference since we really needed a 90 minute massage. We came to the counter, At this point we met Sabrina, a very very hostile and absolute rude lady who came in and told us if we wanted the 60 minute massage we would need to pay the difference (for their error) or she can cancel and refund the payment. (we travelled from Mount Lavinia for a massage and due to their error we’re being asked to go back).

At this point my husband and I just needed the massage so we paid for the difference and got our treatment done. To which we have very little complaints as both our therapist’s were lovely.

When we came down, I asked for the bill since I wanted to make the complaint (we would have walked out without it if not) Here we came to realize we were , Charged an additional amount, and after inquiring about it is when they took action to reverse it. In addition to charging us for their error, they overcharged us.

At this point I looked at Sabrina and asked for her name (as I didn’t take a look at it before) to which she said “ oh I will speak to my branch head and get you a voucher because this was our fault” , a little too late for that considering she wanted to cancel and refund our money due to their airconditioner being broken and expect us to go back to Mount Lavinia and come back another day.

I promptly asked her (as the other gentleman made it sound like the 60 min was complimentary since they couldn’t do our 90 min therapy) “Due to YOUR error did you expect me to come from Mount Lavinia and change the treatment and pay the difference?” (After we had paid in full for the Ultimate Foot Ritual) she just promptly replied “Yes”. It honestly is not about the money, as we paid the difference, but due to an error on your end, it’s absolutely unprofessional to have your client walk back down and pay the balance for a different treatment OR be told to cancel the treatment and refund it. Sabrina was absolutely horrible so customer service on...

I kept thinking it will get better
. It didn’t and I now think it is a scam as I would have got better treatment in Australia for the same price. It felt officious and I felt used afterwards.

Rang to book for the next day for full body massage after looking at spa menu. Came sat down to fill out a generic form to say I am not going die on them and what pressure I want. I prefer hard as soft gives me the creeps. Expecting to sit down and actually pick from menu I was told this massage cannot be hard
. Okay.. (didn’t think I had picked one yet) I thought that’s okay go without they say maybe a scrub will be firmer they add (which I had actually wanted included but it would have been nice to choose). You would think with all these products part of session might be selecting what is used on you and you could buy it afterwards
no you get what you get. I get to treatment room and looks okay until I have to put my face on a towel that feels damp to the touch due to oil residue. I sat up while waiting for my massage lady came back a good 5 min later, as I wanted to limit my face touching it. Being asked to check the time for session start time made me feel that they are going to push me out at the end (I was correct). Scrub was good but yet another 5 min wait for massage lady to come back in. The massage lady used so much oil that any therapeutic benefits are gone and I just felt like a slab of meat being rubbed for the grill. At the end I showered trying to get off the oil and then came to trying to dry yourself on a towel that feels damp, oily and just smears the water over your body. With no hairdryer and a towel that refuses to absorb moisture my hair was dripping wet. Massage lady comes back in with tea and fruit and proceeds to clean up. I asked should I take my tea outside and she says no, so I perched on the edge of massage bed while she is rubbing it down table. Does not make the tea go down easily so I decide to leave and on leaving I am asked for money
a tip. I think they don’t pay their staff well for the price I paid and I am pretty sure tipping is not a thing in srilanka and it only is in Australia if you have really really bad service above and beyond. By this stage I want to get out as I will cause a scene if anyone asks me did you have a nice massage again. I don’t let many people touch my body and I felt very little care in this place and...
