Praise: The water is excellent here. In mid August, my family visited the beach and the water was warm and very clean. The beach is well protected against the strong waves by a series of artificial rock barriers. When my family went, the beach was lightly populated, which is great because if did not feel crowded. Unfortunately, the area of the beach is very small, so if the area becomes more popular, it will be difficult to be there.

Complaints: The beach has several issues, namely on entering the water. To get into the water, one must walk over several rocks. There are large uniform and flat rocks, and other smaller, round rocks. The smaller rocks are painful to walk over and they are mobile, which makes it unstable to walk into the water. The "flat" rocks are covered in algae which makes them dangerously slippery. Beyond this, they are filled with small holes and uneven surfaces, so these large rocks are not safe either. Furthermore, within the rocks and crevices, there are black sea urchins. It should be noted, that sea urchins are highly venomous and their toxins could kill humans. My family and I found several of such urchins within the water, below the surface. They sit along the rocks and among the rocks. An uninformed vacationer should be aware, because if they plant their feet down on the rocks to walk or rest from swimming, they should look for the small or large black circles, which is what the urchins look like.

I must say, no one on the beach seemed to be hurt by the urchins during my visit over a week duration. If you plan to come here, please be careful and...

St’George’s is gorgeous! You can swim there (practically) no matter how furious are the waves outside! All the year round. Plus - this year they have put here new lavatories and changing rooms. The Citi Council of Chloraka has done it and takes care of the daily cleaning and maintenance. Good job! In the artificially barred sea pool I have counted around 20 species of fishes. You can also see invertebrates here, but the sea urchins are really rare birds (if one might say so😉) inside. If you want to watch them, go outside the pool when the...

I stayed at the Helios Hotel in April-May 18 and really enjoyed strolling along the coast path between The hotel and Paphos harbour.Very happy memories of a brilliant holiday. The photographs on this site brought back very happy memories.Safe, peaceful and relaxed and i hope to visit again another day.Enjoy your holiday, present time or in the future. The "beach" is rocky and stony with a few sandy places. It was more the ambience along the pathway that is memorable. The sunsets were worth seeing too.A bit of an...

Date of Visit: January 22, 2023 (Sunday) Water is cold at first but I think it's manageable after you swim for a while. I've seen a few people swimming. You can sunbathe comfortably as the temperature is around 18°C in the afternoon and there's enough space since it's off-season. The reason for 4 stars is that there's no available toilet and the presence of excavators and sea barge which kind of ruins the view. Of course, it's understandable why.
