Very very nice venue. Good and comfortable seating and views, had no issue seeing the whole stage. Very friendly staff and many wardrobes for storage of your coats (wardrobe fee was included in the ticket price which is a big bonus). Did not try the food or servings during the intermission but it looked decent from what I could tell. It was easy to find the place too, many tram, boat and buss connections in the area. Went to watch The hunchback of Notre Dame and it was superb, the settings was really impressive. I'm sure it is a package delivered from Disney but it was really cool and I would recommend everyone too see it.

The most democratic opera house I have been to so far: affordable & accessible with even musicals in the program. Its dance company has an impressive repertoire and is worth visiting for yearly world premiere. The visibility is great overall with comfortable seats made of velvet and leather (?). Drinks and food are served in the reception hall with the view over the port. It's only a 10-minute walk from the Central Station.

Was the first time going to the Opera. Saw Rigoletto, was a lot of fun and a great show! The staff were very attentive and could accommodate our needs and changes at a short notice. The food was good, especially loved the risotto they served, packed with flavour! Even tho they didn’t ask how I wanted my meat it was cooked to perfection. I had an amazing day and would recommend going to the opera at least once.

We enjoyed a delightful contemporary performance of Barber of Seville with my brother-in-law, nephew and his two teenage children. The theater has subtitles in English and Swedish and a small orchestra. My husband and I had a pre-performance dinner that was first class. The chef presented gourmet dishes followed by an indescribable thaibasil sorbet and coffee. A must do if visiting Gothenburg ❤

Göteborg Operaen er en moderne opera, som byder på en fantastisk beliggenhed ved havnen i Göteborg. Operaen ligger i gå-afstand fra Hovedbanegården og det centrale Göteborg. Der er gode muligheder for at købe lidt snacks og drikkevarer til rimelige priser. Afviklingen af det arrangement vi var til forløb på en fin måde, og der var ikke de store problemer i at komme hverken ind før forestillingen eller ud bagefter. Salen var fuld, og "trafikken" blev afviklet på et kvarters tid. Toiletforholdene er fine, men der kunne godt være flere toiletter. Det var det eneste sted vi oplevede en flaskehals umiddelbart før forestillingen gik i gang. Det er let at finde rundt i operaen, og ellers er der allestedsnærværende personale der gerne hjælper. Den forestilling vi så bød på rigtig god lyd, og udsynet er så vidt jeg kan vurdere meget fint i hele salen. Stykket var på tysk, men var tekstet på både svensk og engelsk. Har du brug for at læse teksterne, vil jeg anbefale en plads lidt tilbage i salen. Ellers risikerer du at få ondt i nakken, da teksterne kører oppe over scenen. Alt i alt en meget fin oplevelse at være i operaen i Göteborg.

En symfoni av kultur vid Göteborgs kust. GöteborgsOperan står som ett imponerande landmärke vid vattnet, ett spektakulärt exempel på modern arkitektur som skänker ett estetiskt värde till stadens skyline. Dessutom är det en av Sveriges ledande institutioner för scenkonst, med en repertoar som sträcker sig över opera, balett, musikaler och konserter. Föreställningarna är av hög kvalitet, tack vare en mix av inhemska och internationella artister. Det är inte bara föreställningarna som imponerar; själva byggnaden har en otrolig akustik som höjer upplevelsen till en ny nivå. Personalen är både professionell och vänlig, vilket bidrar till den totala upplevelsen. Restaurangen på plats serverar också utsökta måltider med en utsikt över hamnen som är svår att slå. Det enda mindre bekymret är de begränsade parkeringsplatserna, särskilt under populära föreställningar. Men med bra kommunikationer till operahuset är detta knappast en deal-breaker. Sammantaget är GöteborgsOperan en unik kombination av storslagen arkitektur och kulturellt utbud, och ett måste för alla som besöker staden.
