Järnpojken, also known as Iron Boy or The Boy Looking at the Moon, is one of the most charming and symbolic statues in Stockholm. Although it's only 15 cm tall, it enjoys enormous affection from both locals and tourists. It stands a bit hidden in a small courtyard near Storkyrkan (Stockholm Cathedral), which gives it a kind of magical character.
It was created by Liss Eriksson in 1967 and has since gained an almost legendary status. Found this little, hidden court surrounded by buildings and tall trees. And there was this little statue of the boy looking up. Come to find out that it is a boy looking at the moon.
