We (my wife and me) droped one evening, by accident, in this location. I said to my wife, come on let's go for indian food. Just to mention in advance, I was in many indian restaurants, in many city's of the world. But this one is one of the most horrible places I've been. I just dont understand how this place can earn more than one star. I only can relate this to some blind patriotism from indian people to do a favor to a compatriot. The place is cold with furniture who maybe in Mumbay would win a price but not in Switzerland. The castle of Malefice is brighter. It was smeling from al kind of spices but not realy in a appetizing way. As we entered the room it was like in an old western movie. Everbody stoped doing what they were doing, looked up to us, and stared at us like we were from outer space. For something like a minute. Nobody seemed to say good evening or to make a move to welcome us. We stood there and waited. Then somebody came out and asked us if we want to eat. I said yes and we set down. Then after 20 minutes of waiting a guy came out, and brought us the menu. And still the people around us, stared at us. I felt like in a zombie movie. Completely unconfortable. Then an old woman, maybe the cook of the house, stood up and moved like a turtle, with a complete unwillngness to the kitchen. At that moment, I looked to my wife and I said, let's get the hell outa here. I love indian food. Realy I do. But hey guy's, you who gave more then 3 stars with such comments like "oh not best in Lucerne, best in Switzerland" - either you eat at home from the floor, or you never saw a real good indian restaurant. I'm sorry, this place is a bad joke and the prices for such a horror show an...
Read moreOne of your short South Indian waiter (from chennai I guess) was very rude. Being a tourist my phone data package was finished. When I entered your restaurant, as per rules & routine formalities in swiss, he asked me to show covid certificate. I opened my phone and told him to give me wifi password for a minute as I just had my antigen test half an hour back and the report should be in my email by now. Very rudely he said No we don’t have wifi here. Neither you are allowed to dine in without certificate. Such a big restaurant runs without wifi ?? Wow! He was literally making a fool out of himself. Without trying to understand the overall scenario this guy literally spoiled my day by creating unnecessary chaos. Guys, why are you making things complicated? You asked for certificate, I wana show you my certificate. Only problem was my data was finished & I was not able to download the certificate from my email. I had to face such humiliation just for asking wifi? Your waiter was so stubborn that he didn’t even wanted understand my situation & didn’t wanted to listen to me. Then I humbly asked him to call the manager (as he was not willing to listen my problem, he was stucked with his decision that I am not allowed to dine in without certificate). In return he questioned me - why are you so rude to me! Lol! Who was rude to whom decision I leave it on you. After creating big drama I don’t know how he finally agreed to give me wifi connection after mine asking for Manager’s help. I visit swiss every year for holidays and I am your regular customer who use to visit your restaurant just to enjoy Indian Cuisine. But after this kind of humiliation I am never gona visit your restaurant...
Read moreThis place is not worth 1 star too. We visited this restaurant on 10 April 2024 with 2 kids aged 3-4 years. Both the kids were extremely hungry. we saw the menu on the ground floor outside the restaurant & since it mentioned it served Idli / Dosa we took the efforts of taking our strollers to the first floor. After entering the restaurant the waiters were not at all welcoming. it took them 5-10 mins to get the menu card for us. Post which when the waiter came to take the order, we ordered Dosa & he said we dont serve that. when we said its mentioned on the menu he bluntly replied its written but we don't serve. Considering 2 small kids we asked him to make a paratha to which he said we can't make it too. Then we ordered 2 butter rotis & 2 starters to which he again mentioned that with such small order we can't give a table to eat. we were shocked with the kind of service an Indian restaurant offered outside the country. There was no superior in the restaurant to whom this issue could have been escalated. Indians are the most accommodating when it comes to serving the guest but this restaurant for sure doesn't have those values. Post this we had leave with our hungry / crying kids to find another restaurant. Thus, if in a foreign country you want to experience good service & want to feel respected, please don't visit...
