The food was delightful, and the waiter truly stood out with their exceptional service. Their ability to patiently explain everything in English was impressive and greatly appreciated. The beef and turkey steaks we tried were very delicious and enjoyable to grill. The real hero, however, was the potato gratin, cooked with 10 types of cheese as they claim—it was absolutely fantastic. The music also added a lovely touch to the ambiance, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
However, there are areas that could be improved. It would have been helpful if the staff had explained the proper method for cooking the meat. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize it needed to stay on the fire longer to avoid sticking, which led to the meat tearing during the process. Additionally, while the vintage decor contributes to the restaurant’s charm, the presence of spiderwebs on the walls and behind artistic pieces detracted from the experience. A more thorough cleaning would enhance the overall impression.
Lastly, interactions with the staff in charge could have been more welcoming, which would have created a more positive and accommodating atmosphere.
Despite these points, the combination of good food, great music, and outstanding service from the waiter showcases the restaurant’s potential. With a few adjustments to customer guidance, cleanliness, and hospitality, this venue could elevate its dining experience...
Read moreWe dined at the Restaurant Le Museum for the Birthday of a friend. We were about 15 and decided to try their "Charbonade" menu.
Upon arrival, service was very slow and it took for ever to get our drinks. We were often left alone for long periods of time... thus unable to ask for anything.
When the food arrived, we were disappointed. A small salad as a started. Then, for a "Charbonade" menu, there was very VERY little meat... apparently 200g per person but to be honest, the slices of meat were all tiny and very thin. I doubt we even had 200g each... for 50 bucks and not including drinks! Moreover, there was no second serving for the meat. This came with only a "gratin dauphinois". I had to insist on getting some vegetables. Finally, as desert, we only had 2 balls of ice cream each... Huge disappointment and a menu that's definitely not worth it! Since at least half the people were still hungry owing to the little amount of meat, some re-ordered without knowing that it was another CHF 18ch for 3 tiny pieces of thin meat (supposed to be 100g). We were all disappointed and frustrated.
On top of that, the second waitress that is blondish/red-haired is extremely rude.
I highly recommend not trying this restaurant. The decor is not that amazing, the food is definitely not good quality-price and the service is not friendly.

Read moreThe place takes you to the 1800s the atmosphere and decor is super cute and cosy. Very very nice and authentic place. The walls are like a meter think and the tables and whole setting was magical. The music is a bit out of place and not at all what you expect in a setting like this- they were playing West La and pop music. We were a table of four and ordered all the “ special” fondue with truffle - classical fondue - two meat servings 400g on charcoal and an additional 100g of meat. During dinner we ordered another 100g of meat which thia serving was a bit more than the first serving of 100g. We also ordered salad and extra potatoes and wine. The wine was nice red wine”MONTREUX 1820” we liked the name - it was good. On the whole I wouldn’t have ordered anything else or different.
The service was not that great - other then them taking our order no other words were exchanged. Even when they brought or collected the plates they never spoke- to say sorry excuse me - can I take the plates- - and yes they speak English.
We paid 280 euro so you would say it’s cheap- and I would expect more from the service and the Servings. For the amount of food eaten I would say this is mediocre but just for the setting it’s nice - don’t...
